News
Sunday, Dec. 21 @ 3:30 pm
Tired of all the
“Christmas commercialism” and longing for some of the traditional spirit of
Christmas? Then come join us on Dec. 21, for an afternoon of caroling from 3:30
pm – 6 pm. We’ll meet at the church and be back in time for a cup of hot cocoa.
All ages and voices are welcome! Bring a friend along too, the more the
merrier!
Soon the Christmas
cards will be stuffing your mailbox. Please take the time to trim off the
cancelled stamps and bring them to church. Find a member of the Missions team
or deposit the stamps in the office in the dish provided. What a great way to
help out!
Nursery Sitting
Help is needed in the
nursery. A new list will be generated in February and we are in need of
volunteers to sit with the children during the worship service. Our hope is to
get enough people so that we can rotate. Is this a ministry that interests you?
Would you consider volunteering in the nursery on a rotating schedule? Contact
Eileen Modafarri at 694-8267.
Note from the Trustees
Did you know that if
you feel you can’t pledge at this time, we still need to have your cards
returned? You may note on the card: Will
Give as I Can and bring your card back to church. In the event that you no
longer have your card, please mark your intentions on a blank piece of paper
along with your name. Thank You!
Advent Candle Lighting
During the advent
season our readings and lighting of the candles will be conducted by groups
representing activities in the church. We hope you enjoy the message each one brings.
John & Peggy
would like to invite you to stop in for some Christmas refreshments on Tuesday,
Dec. 23, from 10 – 11 am.
REMEMBER with LOVE
GIVE with GRATITUDE
Recently I received my “Thank You”
check from last year’s Retired Ministers and Missionaries Offering. While the
money is much appreciated, more importantly it says that one’s years of service
to our churches are remembered with love. So, on behalf of all who have
benefited from the RMMO, I would like to express our heartfelt thanks.
43% of the offering provides emergency assistance to those with heavy
financial burdens. The cost of promoting the RMMO comes from other sources. You
have generously supported the RMMO for many years, and I know you will do so
again this year ~ Rev. Douglas Passage
Our 2008
goal is $800.00. Please help us:
Remember Them with Love and
Give with Gratitude.

These days we tend to mush the religious observances
together and say “Seasons Greetings,” which,
when you think about it, means absolutely nothing.
It’s like walking up to somebody and saying
“Appropriate Remark” in a loud and cheery voice.
