Principles of Conduct and Voluntary Conditions of Membership
On joining the Clan each Member acknowledges and accepts the following:
 

1                                General

1.1
The clan is all about friendship, family, and helping each other and others.  We hang out in usk 1 down with the Tub (1 left Usk) as alt meeting place and official Cheers Tavern.  Cheers House is reserved for Clan meetings requiring privacy, and for storing Clan funds and equipment.

1.2
We aren't strong on rules; the Clan exists to enhance Realming, not to restrict it, so we don't have many rules nor do we have any regulations such as level-based duties etc., or even any structured leadership.
There are however certain Standards and Ideals which have been accepted by the Clan, and are not subject to any alteration or addition except by member vote.

There are no privileged positions in Cheers.  Any titles given or claimed by Cheers members or supporters are functional only; the only status recognized is the respect earned by and due to individuals.  Neccesary duties are carried out by those in the Clan who have the ability and desire to do so.  These folk are recognised initially by their volunteering, and subsequently by a majority agreeing to their office.   See below for a list if you require help in anything.

The following is adopted by the Clan through democratic process.
 

2                               Basic Conduct

2.1
No profanity including masking in room, channel or group chat.

2.2
If any member has or is having problems with another member take it up with that person privately; or if in dispute with the clan itself, bring the matter up at a clan meeting.

No scamming.

No join-jumping other toons.

2.4.2
PVP accepted:
                       to jump a known jumper or scammer.
                       if jumped.
                       Sparring, Tourney Grove and CTC.

2.5
PickPocketing is accepted as a Realm skill and therefore allowed.
Be aware that engaging in this turns PvP to ON as effectively as does /yes.
 

3                             Group and Clan Activities

3.1
Attendance at meetings is encouraged but not compulsory.  Although voting by proxy or mail is recognized, those present at meetings have a logical advantage ~ that of discussion.

3.2
Competitions
pending:  to see who can hunt with the most clan members in a given time. Vallee thought the hunt treasure proceeds from the qualifying hunts could be pooled to make a grand prize.

3.3
BluVallee n00b Training Camp
Blu and Vallee have volunteered to run training courses for Realmers.  Any help from other members (this means me!) appreciated ~ please see Blu or Vallee.

3.4
Sponsorship.
The very nature of the genuine n00b precludes time to organize, so its always Johnny-on-the-spot.  However it was raised at the last meeting and we do have it in mind to appoint chanters and smiths officially of the Clan, perhaps at the next meeting.

topic  "Where everybody knows your name and glad you came"  or  variation, or a current or relevant topic accepted.  No Profanity, slights or criticism.
Channel Moderator is requested to promote at least one other member before quitting the channel.
 

4                                     Membership & officers

4.1
Probation Officer
Venesa is our Probation officer for 12 months or until she can no longer fill her duties.

4.2
Recuitment Officers
Murcury, Venesa, Elfiepooks and Lilcuenette for a period of 12 months.

4.3
Membership is lifetime; probation is two weeks.
