The Danish Hussar Regiment wore a blue Dolman with 5 rows of white buttons and lace. The sash were red and white. The breeches were dark blue with black leather on the inner thighs. A row of white buttons ran along a red line down each leg. Grey breeches were sometimes worn in the field instead of the blue ones. The jacket was red with black fur and had a black collar. Buttons and lace on the jacked was like the lace and buttons on the dolman. The headdress was a black sahachtel cap with white braiding and red cordons. Riding boots were black while the carbine belt was a white. The pouch was blue with a rugged red edge fitted with strings and letters "FRVI" in white. All other leather was white.
