We had a lot of great times but I have been out of the Navy for 8 years and do not regret the decision The money is better although there are not as many exciting moments as there were on the Augusta.

Comments: Its good to see that Dustin has started this web site. My time spent on Augusta was very enjoyable. I am retired now and live with my wife Andrea and two daughters Jessica (21/2) and Lauren (5 months) in Fredericksburg, VA. I am employed with a firm calle Stanley Associates (No not the tool company) and work in Crystal City for PMS 425 Acoustics Testing and Evaluation and a place called ASTO (Advance Systems Technology Office) In short all the new stuff. I have been staying in touch with a few people sinc I left the boat and retired from the Navy. I am very glad to see everyone here so please feel free to write. I guess my most enjoyable moment onboard would have to be in Halifax where I had a bachelor party. That was a great evening, of what I can rememb r. What I do remember was a lot of the crew (my friends) showing up. Well must run and please let me here from all of you. This is for Chuck. We knew of the report to control in Spanish. Take care.

Comments: Does anyone know of the whereabouts of John Ronning? We had our last Augusta adventure together. He was getting out and I was getting ready to head to Boston for shore duty. We somehow managed to finagle out of the ORSE workup we were expecting to cap a ismal deployment. We travelled from Wilhelmshaven to Frankfort on one ticket (the Slow train) which costed about $20. We were going to MAC out together from Rien-something Air Force base but when we got there, the next flight wasn't leaving for a few day . His wife wanted him home IMMEDIATELY so he went commercial. I was able to convince my ol' lady it would be a fine cultural experience (=beer) and MACed out later that week on an America Trans Air DC-10 with metal plates missing from the wings. It only et me back $12.
