Sorin An-225 Mrya Page

The Antonov An-225 Mrya is the largest conventional transport aircraft in the world. It is only outperformed by the Airbus Beluga when it comes to the volume of the cargo haul.
The Antonov An-225 is a project of the russian Antonov Aircraft Company, and it has 6 jet engines. The An-225 was made to counteract the development of the American C-5 Galaxy, in a typical Cold War race to build the world's largest transport aircraft.
Only one An-225 was built, and the aircraft was abandoned on an airfield in 1992. With US and international funding, a Ukrainian transport company now uses the refurbished Mrya to transport large objects by air, which can not fit into any other aircraft in the world.
However, in the Mrya, both the nose as well as the tail are mobile, so you can actually drive a tank from one end to the other, right through the cargo haul, in the same way that can be done with a C-5 for example.
