Battleships Nevada, West Virginia, Tennesse, Maryland, California and Pennsylvania, Light Cruisers Helena, Honolulu, and Raleigh, and Destroyers Shaw, Cassin, and Downes were all either sunk or had serious to minor damage, but were all refloated and/or repaired to fight another day...[Surigao Strait comes to mind...]

Casualties: 2,403 dead or missing [including Captain Mervyn S. Bennion, West Virginia, Captain Franklin Van Valkenburgh and Rear Admiral Isaac Cassin Kidd, both KIA aboard Arizona
