HECP & Tower Sites


The Harbor Entrance Control Post (HECP), built 1943.
The East Gate to the fortress is in the background.
Built of reinforced concrete and contained a signal station
and later a SCR-582 radar station. (Occupied building - GPS withheld)

The Meteorlogical Station (1903) foundation at the N.E. bastion.
Used as the Harbor Defense Command Post (HDCP) in 1928.
And in 1941, a searchlight controller and a Base-End Station for the
