To qualify as a chaplain, a pastor must:
be a United States citizenhave two years pastoral experience minimumbe under age 42 (age may vary with prior military service)pass a commissioning physicalhave an ecclesiastical endorsementhave a bachelor's degree (120 hours) and a Master of Divinity
or equivalent graduate program (90 hours) from accredited institutionsThe Air Force Chaplain Service is committed to support and serve a globally engaged Air Force community.
