I think it strange that both the BB Tallyrand and a missile
pay 1 MP for a 1 hexside turn. When I played SC I used the
following House Rules:
1) Different Space Vehicles have different "Turn Modes" based
on the larger of the two values "Radial Profile" and
"Lateral Profile" (on the assumption this is related to
size):
Max Value Effect
<-2 3 Hexsides turned/MP spent
-2, -1 2 Hexsides turned/MP spent
0, +1 1 Hexside turned/MP spent
+2, +3 2 MPs spent/Hexside turned
>+3 3 MPs spent/Hexside turned
2) In addition I assumed that turning is something related
to "normal space" and attitude jets, while the Stutterwarp
drive propels the ship in the direction the bow is facing.
Thus, one could spend an MP moving (or standing still) AND
turn if the requisites were met.
The second rule is more of a preference. The first rule is
one way of modelling differences in turn speed, something I
mean MUST be done.
