Slide 11 of 25
A German veteran says:
"Page 11 shows a new balance of Abrams and Bradley IIRC. Weren't they on nearly the same quantity in today's armor divisions? 40 HMMWVs with long-range thermal is really a weird proposal. That's nice if you want to block Kosovo smuggling or Afghanistan escape routes, but the thermal should be a module to transport it without the vehicle in a utility helicopter to the surveillance post (in mountains) and the heavy UA isn't exactly the unit for such actions... Seems as bit as if that HMMWV is used as a ground-level Comanche? Artillery is surprisingly strong (16 SPHs!). That's surprising because of the debate CAS vs. artillery support."
