SUMMARY

Extensive job experience in planning develpment. implementation, recruitment, coordination and instruction in both academic settings, the private sector and in international association. I have held teaching and administrative positions and had the opportunity to work closely with people from all walks of life. In academic settings, I acquired a wide range of skills by instructing students. I have taught Spanish classes at all levels and written currcula for educational programs. In addition, I developed the curriculum and full participated in the production of a Literacy in the Native Language Video Program. This fourteen-hour video was produce with the purpose of helping Hispanic adults to acquire literacy in Spanish. I also created the M & M (Mind and Mouth) visual technique. This method is currently being used in ESL calsses for the Bilingual Professional Program at Los Angeles Mission College. Furthermore, I have tought subjects as Spanish Language Arts, English as a Second Language, Basic Skills, Developmental Communications, Accounting and Chicano Studies. I am bilingual, biliterate and highly motivated by new challenges.

ACHIEVEMENTS

Developed, implemented and directed the Bilingual Professional Expressway Project. This program recieved a $350,000 Grant from the Fund for Improvement of Post Secondary Education (FIPSE) in Washington DC. This project is efficiently helping many immigrants professionals and U.S. citizens who earned an university degree in a foreign countries to excercise their profession in the U.S. and contribute to the economic health of the nation. Created a Literacy in the Spanish Language Video Program to help erase illiteracy in out communities. Developed the M & M teaching technique to aid in the teaching of foreign languages. Facilitated workshops for many public and private agencies within our state and country. Invited to numerous Hispanic television and radio programs to dicuss various educational issues.
