Dear Peralta Scouters and Friends:

This month's Cub Scout Leader and Boy Scout Leader Roundtables will be held

this coming Wednesday, April 17, from 7:30 to 8:55 p.m. at the Joaquin

Miller Community Center, 3964 Sanborn Drive (just off Joaquin Miller Road,

one mile uphill from the Warren Freeway SR-13 interchange.

The Roundtables will feature program ideas you can use for your pack or

troop activities in May. We will also have up-to-date information on the

Boy Scout Camporee set for May 3-5 at Camp Royaneh. Hal Borkowski, our

district Scout-O-Rama committee representative, will share more details on

the council Scout-O-Rama set for Saturday, June 1. The Scout-O-Rama is our

biggest single gathering of Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Venturers, and adult

Scouters, and we hope your unit is planning to participate.

We will also have information on how packs and troops can do spring

recruiting of new volunteers and Scouts. The district advancement &

recognition committee will distribute nomination forms you can use to

nominate your Unit Scouter of the Year (every unit may select one-to be

recognized at the district dinner in June).

Come down and join us at 10:00 a.m. at Astro Park (next to Lakeview Library

between Grand and Lakeshore Aves.). It should be a lot of fun, with a patch

for each Scout, and trophies to the top three patrols!
