A FRUIT... is the fleshy part of a plant that covers a seed or seeds. Fruits grow on woody, vascular plants (with the exception of strawberries). This would include eggplants, tomatoes, cucumbers, zucchinis…and apples!
A VEGETABLE... is the edible part of a plant that includes the green and leaf-like parts, roots, stems, leaves or flowers.
