you've spent your whole life sweating in an endless fever

Hang on to this rope
Make sure it won't fall apart
I'll wrap my body around something strong
And maybe I won't ever break again
The world has become a jaded blister
Bubbling to explode one of these days
Be thrown into the atmosphere
Then we could live with the stars
But even if we live in outer space
I will still need that something to hold on to
The words may jumble out of my lips
But all I need to say is
Wherever you are please just stay
You are near but you are so far
Be that something I can hang on to
Share a touch
As comely as the gentleness
Of mellifluous piano keys
I need those effervescent intensities
Flowing out of my eyes
Just to let me know that I am living
Please stay and don't let me down
Don't let me down
