you've spent your whole life sweating in an endless fever
_laying in a bathtub full of freezing water, wishing you were a ghost_

I feel these fingertips
Running down my arms
They tingle my worn nerves
And I feel them spark
You slip your hands into
Mine, and I hold on
Just keep breathing
I forget where we are
As these memories flash
Like blinding bright
Lights in another place
Smells of lavender, music
& raindrops have drugged us
Into a trance, but just
Please keep breathing
My hair becomes a tangled
mess, the taste of sugar
Rolls off my tongue, lips
Are trembling over your ear
While our fingers dance
To the beat of raindrops
Hitting the ceiling above
Just keep breathing
I'll graze my face against
Your neck and collapse with
My head on your shoulder
We'll lie awake til 4 AM
And keep singing along to
Our same favorite songs
While looking out into
The crazy night and make a
Wish on an understanding star
And just keep breathing
This feels more real than
Reality itself, we're stuck
In an infinite moment
Lapsed between the clock
& loneliness, and I silently
hope that it will never end
And all we have to do is just
Keep breathing in and out
