Marty's '49 Ford F1 Pickup

"So Far"

A view from either end. The red is 1994 "tricoat" Mustang GT laser red. Note my two pride n joy pieces, the tailgate with ford patchpanel and the splashpan, both totally home made.
Finally the bed takes shape inside. Notice the polished stainless panels in the front and on the 6" rise. The wood is quartersawn white oak with a santine accent stripe (a South American hardwood).
Yes, the bed dumps. How better to show off all the goodies underneath. The spacer panels on the sides match the oak/santine in the bed. The last one is a little different perspective, taken off my roof. It shows the stainless mirror panels and wood nicely.
A few more views with the bed raised. Although the raised bed shows things off nicely, it is also necessary because it allows access to the fuel fill cap and also allows to change the monstrous 31x16.5 tires in the back.
Also, the bed floor raises to allow viewing of the rear suspension and to gain access to a spacious toolbox area hidden under the front portion of the bed.
