2. Read pages 3-6 of Unit I Reading: Graphical Methods.
3. Do "Determining Relationships from Graphs" (only the side with the four graphs where you are finding the equation of a line) - due next class
4. You will need a copy of the program "Graphical Analysis" (an older version of Logger Pro 3.6) for which we have a site license, for your home computer. Go to Yahoo! mail, username = lewiston_supernova password = stargazer. You will find an email in the "inbox" that says "graphical analysis". Put all three attached files into one folder on your computer. One file looks like a text file but you need to download it to make the program work.

Wed 9/2 (B3), Thu 9/3 (W1,4)
1. Discuss Graphical Analysis Using Logger Pro 3.6
2. Finish "Determining Relationships from Graphs". Use LoggerPro to graph the three sets of data on the side of the paper you haven't done yet. - due next class
3. Begin Unit 1 WS I: Graphing Practice using the LoggerPro program. - finish next class
4. For homework, grade your lab report, Physics Introductory Lab Activity: Motorized Cars on the Lab Report Grading Sheet. Use the sample lab report, "Describing the Motion of Dune Buggies" - staple lab and grading sheet together and pass in next class

Fri 9/4 (B3), Tue 9/8 (W1,4)
1. Finish "Determining Relationships from Graphs" if you haven't already - we will go over this next class.
2. Discuss the quarter 1 project, Edible Race Cars - if you have time at the end of the period, you may begin research on the internet, car race is on Mon 9/22
3. Finish Unit 1 WS I: Graphing Practice using LoggerPro program. - due next class

Wed 9/9 (B3), Thu 9/10 (W1,4)
1. Whiteboard "Determining Relationships from Graphs" and Unit 1 WS I: Graphing Practice (SKIP IF SUB)
2. Do Uncertainty in Measurements online and fill in the printed copy as you go - due next class, finish as homework
IF SUB, read Unit 1 Reading: Significant Figures and do Unit 1 WS 2 - Significant Figures after doing #2 above (you will be able to ask questions on Unit 1 WS 2 next class)

Fri 9/11 (B3), Mon 9/14 (W1,4)
1. Read Unit 1 Reading: Significant Figures

Tue 9/15 (B3), Wed 9/16 (W1,4)
1. Go over Unit 1 WS 2 - Significant Figures
2. Do the Pendulum Prelab and work on pendulum lab
*If you are absent during the day we collect data for the lab, you can take data using this simulation: PhET Pendulum Lab. Since this is a simulation, you do not need to do multiple trials for each length, etc, because there is no experimental error. Find the period for at least 10 different lengths, 10 masses, and 10 angles ( 30o or less). Don't forget to record the values you hold constant for each experiment.

Thu 9/17 (B3), Fri 9/18 (W1,4)
EDIBLE CAR RACE

Mon 9/21 (B3), Tue 9/22 (W1,4)
Finish the pendulum lab - graphs due next class, reports dueTue 9/29 (blue) and Wed 9/30 (white)
