Deep in the jungle, rope bridges are the preferred way to cross the many streams and ravines.

We saw chattering parrots in great profusion.

Well protected by mosquito netting, Betty plants a mahogany tree in the jungle.  Date shown on photo is incorrect.  Camera date/time setting had not been re-set.

There were a lot of "crested birds," of various breeds and colors.

With La Esmeralda snuggled into a jungle cove for the night, Daisy and Dolores paddled across the river  to a nearby dock, using one of the skiffs seen there.

The sun sets behind storm clouds over the Amazon as we leave the rainforest and fly to Cusco, Peru, to prepare for the Inca part of our expedition.
