PERU Traveller Guide
Off the beaten tracks Off the Beaten Tracks

We are currently developing this new section. In Off the Beaten Tracks you will find those places that are out of the "tourist-circuit" or the "must-see's", but offer incredible features that finally make an obligation to visit them, specially if we want to leave the beaten path and feel the culture and nature closer than usual.

From trekking routes in remotes areas of the Andes to visiting lost cities in the Coast and making in-search-of-fauna expeditions in the jungle, this section will be feed by you and our experience travelling along Peru.

Our compass sent us this time to Oxapampa and Pozuzo, two 19th century towns in the high jungle area founded and settled by people from Tirol and Prusia (Germany and Austria). Located in Pasco department, these are unlikely places in Peru with tradition, mixture and nature.

Places coming in next issue...

- Cotahuasi Canyon (Arequipa)
- Sechín archaeological site (Ancash)
- Tingo María National Park (Huánuco)

If you are eagerly waiting for any specific info or just have good ones to include here, please send an e-mail or fill the form in the Feedback section.
