Pomander balls: Place whole
cloves about half an inch apart in oranges, apples or limes - nestle fruit
in holiday greenery or potpourri.
Scented candles: Cluster
candles or varying heights and thickness and place among boughs of pine and
cedar in the centre of a table, sideboard or mantelpiece. Remember
never to leave lit candles unattended.
Kitchen herbs: Tie bundles of
fresh or dried basil, rosemary, sage or mint with red, green or gold
ribbons. Add a large matching bow and hang in the kitchen window.
Baskets: Line small wicker
baskets with red and green tissue paper, then fill with potpourri or small
pieces of pine and pine cones. You can even add a few drops of
evergreen scented oil.
