A Great Gift Idea

I am featuring this great gift idea for anyone looking for something unusual.

I have been given permission  to feature it on my website by my cyber friend Diane who is a very talented crafter.  I would like to thank her for letting me use this wonderful idea and the picture she took as well as for the lovely label and tag she created - THANKS Diane!

You will need:

A can (with a pull ring to open) - see picture

A can opener that opens the can with the "no sharp" edges

A gift to insert in the can

Silicone or other adequate glue to bond metal to metal

Label and matching tag    

PVA glue for applying label

Ribbon

And here's HOW

Open the can from the bottom (saving the cut lid).

Empty the can and remove the label.

Carefully wash and dry the can and lid.

Print the Mother's Day Label and matching tag.

Apply the Mother's Day label to outside of can.

Insert your gift.

Place the bottom back on the can with silicone.

Add the ribbon and matching tag.

(You could use any can that has a pull type lid so the recipient can just pull the tab to get to their gift.)
