WIRED RIBBON ANGELS INSTRUCTIONS

Materials needed:

Large Angel
Wired Ribbon 2 ½" wide, 10 inches for dress and 9 inches for wings

Small Angel
Wired Ribbon 1 ½ inches, 7 inches for dress and 6 inches for wings

Tinsel
Pearls – 14mm (large), 10 or 12mm (small)
Hanger - very narrow cord, crochet thread, etc

Dress
Pull wire out of one edge (neck) and save for use on wings. Fold over ¼" on one end and over lap the other end by the small amount and stitch down. Run a gathering stitch 1/8" from edge along the side of the ribbon that has no wire making small stitches about 1/8" and pull tightly and stitch securely so it won’t come undone. The neck should look ruffled.

Put pearl on tinsel, make a loop on the end for the halo (wrap tinsel around your pinkie finger and twist the end around the tinsel stem twice), push pearl against bottom of halo and leave about 1 ½ inches from bottom of pearl and cut. Fold halo down and insert pearl/tinsel inside opening of dress neck and make sure halo is facing front of dress. Twist the end of the tinsel in circles inside the neck of the dress a couple of times to insure it doesn’t fall out of the dress neck opening.

Wings
Fold and overlap edges, pinch in middle and wrap wire around middle pull tight and twist a couple of times so finished sizes are : 4 "- large, 2 ½ - small

Glue wings (wired side in) to back of dress around the neck area. Make hanger – 12 inches of whatever you have chosen and attach at base of halo loop where you have folded the tinsel down. If you attach the hanger anywhere else such as on the edge of her neck ruffle, she will not hang straight, she’ll be tipping forward.
