FOOTPRINTS IN THE SAND

Do you remember when you felt lonely
When there seemed nobody there
Do you remember sitting on your own
Thinking you had no one to care
Do you remember being tearful
And not knowing the reason why
Do you remember a day you shut the door
And just sat down and had a cry
Do you remember feeling happy
Finding things were going right
Do you remember kneeling down to pray
At your bedside every night
Do you remember voicing your worries
When there was nobody there to hear
Do you remember feeling good again
When you realised that God was near
Do you remember reading a poem somewhere
About footsteps in the sand
Just think and you'll remember
That day God held your hand
