Doug started tracing the Fitzjohn family about 35 years ago with his father. This brought other lines into play mainly his mother's Ethel Rose Hagger who was the daughter of Percy Hagger (1895-1973) and Rose Alice Mills and she was the granddaughter of Henry Hagger (1848-1910) who is descendant from Richard Hagger and Hannah (Anna) Bull who were married in 1709 in Elmdon. The majority of the Haggers in this line are from Essex and Cambridge.
Doug and Margaret have lived in Melbourne, Darwin and Adelaide where he is a State Public Servant.
