My name is Peter Hatherley-Greene. I come from Dunedin, New Zealand, but have been residing in the UAE since 1995.
I work at Dubai Men's College, one of the Higher Colleges of Technology established in 1988. Working with young Arab nationals, I teach basic business courses, math and computing skills. I also part-administer a department of 12 teachers from around the globe as well as looking after the interests of around 200 male Arab students.
In my leisure time, I like to sail my Laser at the Jebel Ali Sailing Club. I also play trumpet in a local community wind band and the Dubai Jazz Band. I enjoy reading and am currently (Jan '04) reading Robert Hughes' excellent The Fatal Shore.
My technology interests lie with providing meaningful learning experiences mediated with technology and/or technological pedagogy - my CV expands upon this in more detail.
