The BRUCE family cemetery is a private cemetery located in Albemarle County, VA. near Brown´s Cove. It is off state Route 810 on Route 629 at a farm which is called “Headquarters” (see picture below). The cemetery is located in behind the house and contains about two dozen headstones. The ALMAN M. BRUCE family acquired the "Headquarters" farm after the death of the owner, Thomas H. Brown, in 1872 and owned it until about 1955. The place today (1998) is owned by a John Pflug, but the cemetery is, and must always be, open to the public.
