Concert in Central Park
I wanted to share a few photo's taken from my concert in Central Park located in Owatonna, MN. on Aug. 12, 2004
As many of you know this was my first live concert since returning from recording my Debut CD Breakin' Loose down in Nashville, TN.
This concert marked the closing of summer open air concerts sponsored by the downtown merchants of Owatonna and what a time we all had, an enormous expression of gratitude to the 4 fine musicians I had only very recently became acquainted with whom all did a wonderful job getting together for this one night special performance and at the end of the evening we all had the distinct pleasure to have in our company the prestigious Color Guard from the Owatonna Armory to salute all Men and Women in the U.S. Arm Forces today and in days gone by as I sang the classic song God Bless The U.S.A. made famous by Lee Greenwood.
Thanks also goes to the following: To Lisa Marie from Kat Country KRFO 104.9 for the fine introduction, to all area merchants of downtown Owatonna who sponsored the evening, to the Owatonna Park and Rec. dept. for having Central Park looking so grand with all the beautiful flowers, the beautifully lit fountain and having the park grounds treated for a bug-free night for all of us, to the Owatonna Law enforcement for keeping the night safe for all to enjoy, to Tone Music one of my great sponsors for being open and ready in the event any equipment would be needed, to Tom Brick of Owatonna Shoe for getting the stage ready for us(not an easy task), to Cashwise Foods out of Owatonna for generously supplying all the patriotic balloons for children of all ages to enjoy and show their pride and support for when the Color Guards marched in, to the legions of media for respecting at my request at the last minute a night of privacy for my family, friends and fans to enjoy and with that being said a huge thanks goes to the hundreds of the most incredibly loyal fans who came out and enjoyed with me such a memorable evening that will never be forgotten.
Enormous Gratitude goes to all those who have served and continue to serve our great country today; because of your ultimate sacrifice to protect our nation the American dream lives on!
L-R: Jim Mosser on Bass/sound engineer, Gary Seeman on Drums, Dotty Peterson, Don Sanford on Fiddle and Jim Sanford on Pedal steel guitar. Singing "Goin Through The Motions" one of the songs from my Debut CD.
