Miracle! Miracle is a genuine white buffalo, born on a farm by Janesville, Wisconsin. We travelled to see the furry creature and made our offerings of tobacco, cloth and some chow. A white buffalo is a sign that positive change is to come for Indian people. We wanted to be part of this historic time so we made a pilgrimage to honor Miracle. I wish Miracle is doing well.

My Webpage would not be complete without our dog Floppy! (may he rest in peace) He was a pure bred German Short Hair Pointer with a real attitude. He ALWAYS chose to sleep in the baby carriage instead of the dog house. He wanted to be pushed around also.

Ed Kirkrude or Chigacheence, but to us, he was 'Tatanon' or 'Grandpa.' This is his WWII photo. He was born on Lake of the Woods in 1916. His father, Olaf Kirkerud (Ole Kirkrude), was drafted to WWI when he was still in the womb. He never knew his father. His mom died when he was young. She was from the Assabaska Ojibway Band and lost her Indian Status when she married Ole Kirkrude. My Gramps and his siblings were not recognized as Status Indians, they died as Metis or Non-status Indians. My gramps was brought up, like an Ojibway Indian, by a medicine man, even though he was 1/2 Norwegien. He taught me many things.
