Though John though The Slick Rock Trial was the best trail I would have to say Poison Spider Mesa is. This rock art is near parking area for this trail.
From the beginning of the trail you can get great views of the Behind the Rocks Wilderness area. To help stop the spread of wilderness areas you should look into joining the Blue Ribion Cololition or the AMA.
Pig Rock is a major land form in the area to help you keep your sence of direction.
One of the views from the top of the meas near the start of the trail.
Litte arch is on the edge of the mesa. Little arch is really not that little, if you look close you can see John standing near the top right of the arch.
View near the edge of the cliff at Little arch down to the Colorado River.
To me this is what makes this trail so much fun. One second you are on a techniqual area the next you are on slick rock and that is followed by sand dunes.
If you are like us you will not like riding on sand at first but once you get it figured out it is very fun and nothing else is like it.
Directions: Take Hwy279 out of Moab. In a few miles you will see signs marking the parking area for Poison Spider Mesa.
