ZEPHYR
A wind so cold
blows through my soul
It numbs my heart to blue
Though you, my pet, I know not yet
My soul calls out for you

You are my breeze
the one I need
That will unfreeze my heart
A zephyr sweet I long to greet
My long-awaited start

Though patience wanes
my hope remains
and carries me through the time
when winter's chill does leave me ill
When will this love be mine

You are my hope
I stay afloat
to see my sail unfurl
A zephyr sweet I pray will breathe
new life into my world

I must assume
I'm late to bloom
For love, I'm not yet ripe
I'll someday know a loving glow
I never could describe

You are the breath
The warm caress
to melt my icy core
A zephyr sweet, someday we'll meet
and then I'll yearn no more
