The following story contains characters owned by Marvel Comics. It is written as a fanfic parody story not intended to make any use of actual story lines in published books. The story is purely for fun, with no profit to be made by the author.

In the two months after she had killed the Kingpin, Paula Osborn, the Green Goblinette who used to be Peter Parker, the Spider-Man, became the lead killer amongst the three Goblinettes. The leader of the group, Ellen Osborn, who was transformed from Liz Osborn, did just that, lead and plan. She was involved with her two teammates in all their activities, but let them do most of the dirty work, with her role being the director. The remaining Goblinette, Meredith Jane Osborn, who used to be Peter's wife, Mary Jane, did whatever was required during their missions.

Unlike Ellen and MJ, who had their original minds completely wiped clean to allow their new personalities to take over, Paula had been left with some of Peter's mind still intact. Norman Osborn, the original Green Goblin stuck in an alternate dimension, wanted to torture his long time foe by having his mind aware of everything she did as a Goblinette. Norman had informed Liz and Mary Jane that their minds had to be wiped completely clean so as to make sure their new personalities would get no interference from the original ones. When he did not do this to Peter also, in an effort to humiliate him, Norman opened up the possibility of Peter coming back into control of the mind within Paula's new body.

The restoration started on the day that the Goblinettes nearly killed Peter's old friend, the Black Cat. The revulsion he felt in seeing what was being done to her gave him the impetus to push his way out of the background of Paula's mind. He was still nowhere near in control as the Goblinettes continued their killing and maiming, but one day, two seperate occurances combined to allow him to take over.

Paula's teammates were starting a three pronged assault on Four Freedoms Plaza, the skyscraper used as a headquarters by the Fantastic Four. Ellen had determined that splitting up to attack in three different spots would be the best tactic, so while Goblinette MJ was landing on the rooftop helipad and Goblinette Ellen was circling the floor where the Fantastic Four lived, tossing goblin bombs, Goblinette Paula was underground approaching the underside of the building. Spider-Man had been involved in far too many adventures with the Fantastic Four to allow Paula to continue her mission, and this was the spark that broke the hold the villainess had on her mind.

Instead of setting off the explosives in her weapons bag at the entrance to the sub-basement, the Goblinette approached the visitor ID panel next to the door, and pressed the button. The video screen came alive with the image of Susan Richards, the Invisible Woman, who was blinking in amazement at what she was seeing on her monitor. "Susan," began Peter, wishing she had her male voice, "I know you will find this hard to believe, but I'm no longer one of the enemies attacking your building. Before the Green Goblin transformed me, I was Spider-Man!"

"Is there anything you can tell me," asked Sue, "that would help me to verify that what you're saying is true? We're in a bad situation up here, and there's no way I can let you in without good reason."

The Goblinette stood there for a moment thinking, then said, "Sue, I doubt very many people other that you four and Spider-Man would know about the way Reed used the sonic cannon in your lab to get the symbiote off me that came back from the Secret Wars, and eventually took hold of Eddie Brock to become Venom."

"You're in, girl!" shouted Sue. "Get up here as fast as you can!"

Peter winced at the reference to 'girl', but knew that the appellation now fit her perfectly.

The doors swooshed open, and the Goblinette jumped into the elevator. The armored doors slammed shut behind her, and the car started a nearly meteoric rise upward. Peter was glad for the combined Spider and Goblin powers her body had, able to resist the high-g ride. The car came to an abrupt halt at the 18th floor, momentarily making Peter's body go airborne, but again the powers of the body allowed her to keep her footing when her stiletto heels came back down.

She raced out of the elevator to find Sue waiting for her at the doorway into the lab she'd just been refering to moments earlier.

"WOW!" was Sue's opening word. "Spider-Man, is that REALLY you in that body? That costume even makes my old Malice costume look lame!"

As the no longer malevolent Goblinette walked up to and lightly hugged Sue, she replied, "Yes, indeed, Sue. The Green Goblin is no longer on this planet, and he had his computer transform two of my friends, and then me, into his new team of Green Goblinettes. My ex-teammates are still in the process of attacking your building, and something you just said has given me an incredible idea to draw them off. Do you still have that Malice costume?"

"It's stored in the lab," answered Sue, "but what could you possibly want it for?"

"If you can get it for me quickly, I can put it on and convince the other Goblinettes that you've become Malice once again due to their attack. Malice will then assure them that she has already decimated the Fantastic Four!"

"Great idea!" Sue yelled. "I'll go get it. No, better yet, follow me!"

While the two made their way to the locked storage bin in the lab, Peter used the Goblin communcations medallion on her throat. "Ellen and MJ, this is Paula. Can both of you hear me?" MJ answered right away, because it was relatively quiet on the roof, and Ellen responded after one more call from 'Paula', and both said they could hear her. "I'm at an impasse down here in the tunnel. My explosives are having no effect on the doorway. It must be made of some alien materials. Keep at it up there, and I'll join you ASAP!"

"Okay, Paula," replied Ellen, "I'll watch for you."

"I'm having a similar problem on the roof," MJ called in, "these hatches won't budge!"

"I'll be up there soon," replied Peter as they entered the lab.

Sue didn't waste any time with keys, and used a force dagger to explode the lock away from the storage bin. Peter watched this use of her powers with awe, then saw Sue come away from the cabinet holding a hanger with a daringly cut black dress with hardly any material and the cape in one hand, and boots, gloves and cowl in the other. "Your breasts are considerably larger than mine," Sue said, "but the costume should still fit you. The bra of the dress may end up showing a lot more cleavage than was intended when I was transformed into Malice, but that will just look that much better!"

The Goblinette gasped. This was the first time she'd actually seen the black and red costume. "Let's go to my bedroom," Sue continued. "I think it will be a lot easier to change there, and we can get there in seconds." Sure enough, Sue's bedroom was only a short walk from the lab, and no time at all was lost.

Peter started to take off her Goblinette costume by first unhooking the choker from around her neck, and asking Sue to have Reed secure it in an RF proof room or box, just in case it could be homed in on. Sue left while Peter was pulling the mask off her head, to once more reveal the beautiful face of Paula Osborn.

Peter unzipped the boots and set them aside, pulled off her gloves, then took off the weapons bag and the leotard. Reaching over to the hanger Sue had laid on her bed, Peter picked up the black dress. She stepped into it and pulled it up over her torso. Sue was right -- the bra barely contained her breasts, but it made them look that much better, the way they bulged up and out. The rest of the dress covered very little flesh, having pointed sections falling in front of her crotch and over her ass, and nothing at all over her upper thighs, belly, or above and below the bra.

The cape was pulled over her shoulders and hooked to the tops of the bra, with a huge collar standing up behind her head. The inner surfaces of the cape and collar were red.

The black thigh high boots had heels slightly shorter than those she'd just removed, so Peter had no worries there, and zipped them on. They fit nicely, seeming to be maybe a half size bigger than her own, and were low behind her legs, rising to points on the front of the legs to match the angles of the dress. The fingerless black gloves were then pulled on, with spiked wristlets and knuckle attatchments.

Finally, Peter once again piled her raven hair on top of her head, then picked up and put on the cowl, which completely covered her head and hair, and had spikes starting at the bridge of the nose going back, and also from ear to ear going crosswise. The base of the cowl had a spiked choker which Peter secured to finish her new costume. Just then, Sue walked back in.

"Oh my God!" she exclaimed. "I'm still not seeing much of your face, but you look like my evil self so much that I could sware I was looking into a mirror! This is the first time I've ever seen what I looked like in the flesh. Now, how are you going to work on fooling the other Goblinettes?"

Peter walked over to the vertical mirror to see for herself what she looked like, saying, "Let me go out on the balcony. I should be able to catch Ellen's attention during one of her orbits. Then I'll wing it." Peter caught sight of her new costume, and continued, "Oh, wow, is this ever wicked looking! Awesome!"

"Okay, stop admiring yourself," said Sue, "and let's get you out on the balcony."

Peter and Sue walked over to the armored glass doors, and watched for Ellen to fly by, then timed how long it took for her to return. Peter figured she had about two minutes to get outside and in position. After Ellen's next pass, Sue activated the door which slid back rapidly, and Peter, no, make that Malice, stepped out onto the deck, avoiding the holes in the concrete and the burning remains of goblin bombs. Sue went racing back to the lab.

When Ellen next flew into sight, Malice raised her right hand in recognition, calling out, "I am Malice, the Mistress of Hate! Your attacks have allowed me to take over Susan Richards' body once again, and I can't thank you enough!" Ellen halted her goblinwing, and hovered near the balcony. "I've already taken out my erstwhile teammates," continued Malice, "and will find a way to get in touch with you later to see about joining with you!"

Sue had shown the tactical savy she was noted for, luckily, because Ellen didn't quite trust Malice, and said, "Show me the bodies!"

Sue had turned invisible and was standing right behind Malice, and said just loud enough for Malice to hear, "Tell her to go around to the lab bay windows. I've got Reed, Ben and Johnny laid out on the floor with fake blood all over them!"

Malice relayed this to Ellen, and shortly, the goblinwing came back into view, much closer this time. "You do good work, Malice!" called out Ellen. "Your brand of mayhem would fit in nicely with our work. Come to Osborn Industries and we'll watch for you."

With that, Ellen zoomed off, with MJ following closely behind. They had each tried to contact Paula, but getting no reply, figured she was too far underground for the comm system to work, and hoped that at least their calls to her to regroup would get through, even if she couldn't reach them.

Malice turned away, and re-entered Sue's bedroom. "Thanks for that quick effort on your part, Sue," Peter said, as Sue came back into view. "It made the plan work! You know, with the mind programming I've been through, I was afraid that when I proclaimed my name as Malice, I would actually become her."

Sue gave Peter another hug, then said, "I know what you mean. I hope I never get transformed into another identity ever again. Being Malice twice was enough for me!" They both left her room to head for the lab.

When Sue and Peter walked into the lab to tell the boys they could get up, all three looked up to see both Sue and Malice standing side by side. "Reed, Ben, Johnny, meet Malice! She doesn't have forcefield powers, though. This Malice has Spider powers and Goblin powers!"

Sue then gave the guys a brief rundown of what Peter had told her, and let Peter tell them more, going into the transformation in detail. Reed nodded his head during certain parts of the story, then, when Peter finished, said, "I have heard of some of the chemists mentioned by Norman. I wondered what had happened to them, and now I know. I'm afraid there isn't anything we can do to restore your manhood, because those changes Norman caused are irreversible. Also, if Norman did indeed wipe your friends' minds clean before imprinting their new identities, there is going to be no way to ever bring them back."

"If I have to stay in this form, Reed," said Peter, as she pulled off the cowl and shook her long black hair to loosen it, "I may as well adopt an identity Norman briefly had me in before he made me a Goblinette. In a variation of my Spider-Man costume, I will become Spider-Girl!"

"You're welcome to stay here with us until you can get more permanent lodging," Reed said, "and I think I can help you with a costume. Come over to my computer, and we'll tell it what to make out of unstable molecules to give you a killer costume!"

"This will almost be like it was a few years ago," Johnny added, "when Spider-Man almost made us the Fantastic Five!" The Human Torch looked like he was ready to yell, "Flame On," in his apparent glee, so Peter tried to calm him down a bit.

"I don't mean to let you down, Johnny," replied Peter, "but I will be working strictly on my own to try and get back at the Green Goblin for what he's done. I just hope I won't have to kill the Goblinettes who used to be so close to me."

"Well, you can count on us for help, if you think you need it, my friend," answered Johnny.

"I'll second that!" added the Thing, Ben's rock-like monstrous form.

Still wearing all but the cowl of Malice's costume, Peter followed Reed over to the computer to start working on a costume for her to wear as Spider-Girl. Johnny and Ben got to work checking over the building to inventory any damage the Goblinettes had caused. Sue, feeling left out like she thought happened far too often, turned and left the lab. She headed back to her bedroom, with an idea forming in her head. 'Peter looked so good in my Malice costume, I think I'll surprise her by showing her what I look like in her costume!'

In her room, Sue stripped off her blue and white unitard, then removed her panties and bra. She picked up the tiny green leotard off the bed, and slipped her legs through the openings. Even after seeing Peter dressed in it, she couldn't believe the way it showed so much thigh, and covered so little of her crotch and ass. Looking down, she could even see the shape of her feminine mound standing out. As she pulled the top of the leotard up over her chest, Sue was disappointed to see that her own breasts didn't make it bulge as much as Peter's had, but still loved the way it molded to each of her not insubstantial orbs. She pulled the straps over her shoulders, then reached for the boots.

Holding one of the boots in her hand, Sue marvelled at the skyscraper heel it had, and the severe arch it would put the foot in. Nevertheless, she inserted her right foot into the first boot, and found that it was just a little bit small for her. Sue squeezed her foot in by wiggling her toes, which then became locked in place in the tiny pointed toe of the boot. She zipped it up to her thigh, loving the way it molded to her leg, then repeated the process with her left foot. Sue then pulled on the gloves, finding that they hugged her arms the way the boots did her legs. She slung the weapons bag over her shoulder, then reached for the mask.

Sue wished Spidey hadn't asked her to hide the choker, because that would be missing from the costume, but figured maybe she could go get it when she went to show the guys how she looked. Holding the mask in front of her, Sue saw the beautiful face molded and painted on it, and the pointed goblin ears. She saw that the long extension to the green top was hollow, and figured that's where her hair would fall. The mask was set back down so Sue could pile her blonde hair on top of her head, then she picked it back up.

The chin of the mask was hooked under her own, then Sue pulled the face up and over her own, feeling the features of the mask meld with her own to become her new face. She pulled the top over her head, then back down to her neck, where she started to smooth it out, then froze. Her hands dropped to her side, face forward, chest thrusting forward. The mask had started the transformation of its latest wearer. But it was waiting for the instruction to proceed, and the newest Goblinette stood there, frozen in place.

* * * * *

The brand new Goblinette was still standing motionless, frozen in place as the mask was waiting for the instruction to complete its transformation. It was already working on giving her the name Susanna Osborn, to replace her old identity of Susan Richards, and was also analyzing the powers that her body had, wondering about the force fields and invisibility she could control instead of Goblin powers, but couldn't make any progress until instructed to do so. Inside her new identity, for truly, her face was now that of a Goblinette, Susanna could feel nothing while the mask waited...

Peter, or Petra, as she'd decided her name would be since Peter didn't quite fit, spent two hours with Reed Richards, Mr. Fantastic, at the computer. They both worked at designing, then making, an unstable molecules costume for her. When the computer had finished its task, Petra, who was still dressed as Malice, took the costume in hand and asked Reed, "Is there anywhere in the lab where I could change into my new costume?"

"Sorry, Spider-Girl," answered Reed, who was getting used to the new name, "but your best bet is to go back to the bedroom. I'll lead you back."

"Lead the way!"

While they were walking, Reed said to Spidey, "The unstable molecules that your new costume is made from will resist almost any tearing or shreading, and have the capability to change the color of the costume if you need to modify it for any reason. They were programmed to read your thought patterns while we were designing it. Just imagine how you want the costume to appear, and it will rearrange itself and become whatever shape and color or colors you desire!"

"Where were you all those years I had to make costume after costume to replace the damaged ones, Reed?" Spidey jokingly replied as they neared the bedroom.

Reed showed Petra the door, which she recognized as they got closer anyway, and said, "Go on in and change, I'll wait out here to see the result of our efforts."

"Thanks, Reed," she said, "I won't be long!"

As Spidey entered the room, she was shocked to see a Goblinette standing motionless next to the bed. Quickly looking at the bed to see if the costume she'd taken off was still there, and seeing that it wasn't, she turned back out of the room to face a surprised Reed Richards. "Something wrong, Spider-Girl?" he asked.

"Reed, I think Sue must have wanted to try on the Goblinette costume for some reason. She put it all on, then must have put on the mask, which melted away her own face to replace it with the mask's. I know what that's like, it was done to me. The mask has probably already renamed her, and will transform Sue from head to foot into a Goblinette if it is told to complete the transformation. So when we go into the room, whatever you do, don't say the word 'transformation' while we try to undo what your wife has done."

Petra and Reed went into the room in silence, Reed's jaw dropping in awe as he saw for the first time a Goblinette up close. He whispered to Spidey, "You say that inside that visage is my wife, Sue?"

"Yes, Reed," Petra said out loud. "The mask she is wearing has been working on the revision of the personality of its wearer while it has been frozen. You can talk, because the mask will only react to that one word."

Spidey walked over to the immobilized Goblinette, and stood facing her. Nothing happened, other than a normal blinking of her exquisite eyes. "What is your name?" Petra asked.

"I am Susanna Osborn," the Goblinette replied, still otherwise motionless.

Spidey turned to Reed, and said, "See, the mask has already given Sue another name for her new identity. We have to get her out of the fix she's in."

Spidey had an idea, and worked off the memory that the mask, while doing its transformation, obeyed instructions. "Susanna," she said, "take off your mask."

The Goblinette did as it was ordered, and reached up to pull off the mask. First came the back, with Sue's long blonde hair streaming out. Then the face was pulled away from Sue's, and her original features returned. Holding the Goblinette mask in her hands, Sue shook her head, then, seeing Spidey, still in the Malice costume, and her husband Reed, she said, "When did you two come in here? I was just getting ready to show you how I looked in Spidey's costume, since she looked so good in mine."

It took a few minutes for Spidey to explain to Sue just how near she came to becoming a new Goblinette. She concluded by saying, "I think I'm the only one who can safely wear that costume, since I was able to overcome the programmed identity with my own mind while wearing the mask."

Reed then left the room while the two women changed their costumes. Sue removed the rest of the Goblinette costume while Spidey was taking off the Malice costume. Sue wanted to put that one on for a change, but decided not to since it just might do exactly that -- change her. She did not want to ever again become Malice. She put on her Fantastic Four costume, wishing it was just a bit more showy, and was in for a big surprise!

Petra watched with a stunned expression as Sue's blue unitard with white trim became a skimpy blue leotard with white trim and a huge gap over her breasts in the shape of a 4. The arms turned into shoulder length white gloves, and her legs were now shod in thigh high white boots with nicely shaped stiletto heels. Sue had completely forgotten about the ability of the costume to match her wishes, and Spidey got a good first hand lesson in what her own costume could do.

Spidey had been donning her own costume while Sue's was morphing, and finished by pulling the cowl down over her head and tucking the neck into the top of the unitard. She now looked like a grossly overly developed female version of her original Spider-Man character. The basically blue suit had white trim in the form of spiderwebs across the chest, which bulged out considerably, but had perfect shape thanks to the build of the costume.

Her cowl covered the head completely, showing none of her magnificent raven mane, and had large white spots over the eyes, more femininely shaped than the originals, and more web patterns. There were red gloves on her hands, with black web pattterns, and webshooters on her wrists. The red boots she wore came up to her knees, with black webbing to match the gloves, and had tall spike heels, since that was what she was used to wearing now.

The Invisible Woman clapped her hands in approval, saying, "Brava! It looks like Spider-Girl is ready to pick up where Spider-Man left off!"

"Thank you, Sue," she replied, "and you're looking pretty sharp yourself! If that is what these unstable molecules can do, I can't wait to start experimenting. Now, let's go show the rest of the Fantastic Four what their female teammate and temporary boarder now look like!"

"Let's do! And while we're at it, I'll set up a room for you to use closer to the ground, with a secure entry and exit for your work." Sue was unaware of the actual kind of work for which Petra would be using that secure access. Petra didn't know yet, either.

Sue paged the rest of the Fantastic Four, and when she and Spider-Girl walked into the living room, Mr. Fantastic, the Thing, and the Human Torch turned from the football game they'd just turned on, and wolf whistled in three part harmony. "Geez, Spidey," said Johnny, "you look incredible! If you weren't a close friend that I knew was really a guy, I'd be chasing after you!"

The Thing, sensitive galoot that he was, said, "Can it, flame breath! That's a good friend of ours you're getting fresh with!"

Reed added his own analysis, saying, "The costume seems to have worked out just as we'd planned, Spider-Girl. You really do look incredible in it."

Spider-Girl's spider sense was picking up impending fireworks, and she saw the look on Sue's face. "Uh, guys," she said, "have you possibly missed something else here? There is a beautiful woman standing next to me in what I consider to be an excellent costume, showing off her assets nicely, and you seem to be ignoring her!"

"Thank you, Spider-Girl," Sue said icily. "I was about to turn invisible, since that is what I appear to be to these oafs. That's part of the reason I wanted to put on the Goblinette costume. I wanted everybody to see how good I could look."

"Goblinette costume?" her brother Johnny asked. "I'm sorry, Sue, but you are my sister. I'm so used to seeing you that I just overlooked the outstanding costume you're now wearing."

"That other costume is a story I'll tell you about later," Sue said to Johnny and Ben, both with puzzled looks on their faces.

Ben then remarked, "I think I can safely speak for all the guys, Sue, when I say that you have done a magnificent job in changing your costume. It will really brighten up things around here. Of course, if you still want to take it out on Reed later tonight, I won't come running when I hear his screams!"

"BEN!!!!" both Sue and Reed said in unison, red cheeks on both.

* * * * *

Sue lived up to her promise to Petra, and got a nice room set up on the ground floor of the skyscraper. Spider-Girl could easily sling her way out of any widow higher up, but both of them figured that security could be better maintained with the special access they set up from the room itself. Sue also gave her a bankcard she could use without fear of having to pay back, so that she could get herself going again. The Goblinette costume was put away in the room, along with the RF proof box the choker was held in, in case Spidey needed it to do any infiltration later on.

All five sat down that evening to a succulent roast beef meal, then talked for another two hours about this, that, and whatever in the living room. When the gathering broke up at 8 PM, Spider-Girl went down to her room.

As she was pulling off her cowl, Petra shook her hair loose, and in the process, loosened a memory from the programming she'd undergone back at Norman's lab. She recalled Norman saying that Spider-Girl was immature and wanton, and set this into her mind without thinking of the consequences. Immediately after the thought was set, Petra decided that her nickname was Pet. Her working name would be Penthouse Pet. She imagined what she would need to wear, and the costume obliged.

Pet walked over to the vertical mirror next to her dresser, and saw a beautiful woman with a raven mane going to her waist. She was dressed in a white lycra tube top, a black leather miniskirt that just barely went below her crotch, smokey grey hose attached to a garter belt under the skirt, and knee high black patent leather boots that laced up the front and had stiletto heels.

Satisfied that she was dressed wantonly enough, Pet then sat down at the dressing table and put on makeup to turn her face into that of the wanton whore eager to go sell her body. Petra knew that this was what she now needed to do. She was in no way a male; she was an immature, wanton slut. Spider-Girl would have to wait until she had been satisfied. The secure access was used for the first time for Petra's work. No, for Pet's work.

* * * * *

That same night, two distraught Goblinettes conferred with the computer voice that was Norman Osborn, the original Green Goblin. They never saw or heard from Paula after the raid on the Fantastic Four earlier in the day. "I fear for the worst, my dears," Norman told them. "If Paula hasn't been in touch with us by now, she must be in the hands of either the Fantastic Four or the authorities. Since no word has come out on the news about the arrest or holding of a Goblinette, she must be with the Fantastic Four. With Peter's mind still being a part of Paula, I think Dr. Richards will find a way to restore him. His brain, anyway. Paula will be in that body forever."

"Do you want us to try and get her back, master?" Goblinette Ellen asked.

"No, I don't think that is a viable option, judging by the lack of success you had in getting at the Fantastic Four earlier. By the way, since Malice didn't come by like you asked her to, that must have been a sham on Susan Richards' part to throw us off. No, getting Paula back is not workable. But we will get a replacement for her."

"Who did you have in mind to be transformed?" MJ wondered.

Norman's hologram put his hands on his hips, and said, "There is an old foe of Spider-Man who has been free of his curse for the past few months, but probably still hates his guts. I want the two of you to go visit Eddie Brock, once know as Venom, and see if he wants to take on another form to get revenge on Spider-Man. Don't say anything about the form he'll take, or that Spider-Girl is the new enemy. Tell him that if he wants to join us, and I know he will, that you will have to knock him unconscious for security reasons. When he, or rather, she, awakens, Edie Osborn will be a new person!"

* * * * *

At 2 in the morning, a pair of Goblinettes were winging their way to Eddie Brock's apartment.

Penthouse Pet was getting back to her room, with so much cash in her ex-goblin weapons bag that the bankcard she'd just gotten would hardly be necessary. But she had ideas on things to buy that the card might come in handy for...

* * * * *

Goblinettes Ellen and Meredith Jane flew to Eddie Brock's apartment on their goblinwings at 2 in the morning. They landed atop the roof of the building, then opened the door leading to the fire escape stairwell. Each of them had to use great care in going down the stairs, because each step was an open metal mesh, with openings large enough for their heel tips to enter. In order to keep from tripping, they had to walk with almost all of their weight on the balls of their feet, almost as if they were walking on tip toes. Eddie's apartment was known to be on the sixth floor, so after descending four stories, the pair of villainesses opened the fire door and went down the hallway to 6C.

Eddie Brock had been the more or less willing host of the alien symbiote called the 'other' which made him into the killing machine called Venom. This symbiote is the same one mentioned by Spidey to Sue as her way of verifying her identity. When Spidey freed himself many years ago of the symbiote, which had attached itself to him during the Secret Wars, it went searching for another host, and stumbled into Eddie Brock. Eddie was bemoaning the fact that Peter Parker had robbed him of his job, and that Spider-Man was always drawing attention away from him. The 'other' bonded with Eddie, felt his hatred for the host who had just rejected it, and gave Eddie the form of Venom.

Over the years, Venom had mellowed a bit, and become almost a crime fighter instead of a criminal. Eddie's ex-wife, Ann Weying, had also become the host of the 'other' on two occasions, becoming She Venom. The 'other' had been forcibly taken away from Eddie six months earlier, by a government task force. In the meantime, he had been doing hack jobs and barely surviving. (Don't try to find this in the comics; he is only Venom-less in my story.)

MJ jimmied the lock on Eddie's door, and the two waltzed into his dark flat. They left the front door open to provide a bit of light, then found the switch to turn on the lights in the living room. After closing the door, MJ followed Ellen down a short hallway to Eddie's bedroom. As expected, they found Mr. Brock asleep in his room, snoring loudly and with a strong smell of beer near his head.

The bedroom was still dark, light filtering in from the hallway. When Ellen shook Eddie by the shoulder to wake him up, his eyes flew open in surprise, fully alert. He had only fallen asleep 20 minutes before. When he saw the silhouettes of the two Goblinettes, Eddie sat up with a start. "Who are you, and what are you doing in my apartment?" he demanded, adding "You both look like sexy versions of an old acquaintance, the Green Goblin."

"Right you are, Mr. Brock," answered Ellen. "We are two of his force of Green Goblinettes, and he has asked if you would like to take on another form to help him get back at Spider-Man, and let you get your own revenge on him."

Eddie was all ears, and liked what he heard. He reached over to the lamp on his night table, and switched it on. The now brightly lit images of his intruders made his jaw drop, then immediately come back together to purse his lips and do a wolf whistle. "I like what I'm hearing. How would I go about getting this new form, which I presume is another super powered body?"

MJ walked up to stand side by side with Ellen, both now looking down at Eddie, and said, "Mr. Brock, or can we call you Eddie, the Green Goblin needs you to come with us to his secret laboratory. There you will be changed into the newest form of Spider repellent."

Eddie chuckled, then said, "I'm Eddie to all my friends, and you two are definitely friends. I love that little play on words, 'Spider repellent', and I will follow you anywhere."

"Great, Eddie," replied Ellen, "we'll be glad to have you working with us. Green Goblin says that to make sure no one finds his lab until they are with him, we will have to make you unconscious and bring you there ourselves. Is that okay with you?"

Eddie pondered this for just the briefest of moments, then, nodding his head, replied, "Sounds good to me. If you girls are strong enough to heft my body, feel free to knock me out!"

MJ reached into her weapons bag, pulled out a small vial, then sprayed Eddie in the face, saying, "Night, night, Eddie. Time to go back to sleep. When you wake up, you'll be a new you!"

Goblin strength imbued during their transformations made it a simple task for either of the Goblinettes to carry Eddie back to the roof, and Ellen did so, holding his large bulk just like she would a small baby. The two and a passenger then strapped their feet back into their goblinwings, and took off for Osborn Industries.

* * * * *

Eddie was still unconscious as he was seated in the tank. Once it was sealed, Norman had the computer fill it with the same formula used two months earlier on Peter Parker. Eddie's blonde hair was already long, but as the chemical bath did its job, the Goblinettes saw it get smoother and longer, with his face becoming goddess-like. The rest of Eddie's body, hidden below the level of the fluid, took on a shape identical to that given to Peter Parker. When the tank drained, MJ opened the door and grabbed the now very female form of the still unconscious Eddie Brock.

When Eddie finally came to, she felt that her wrists were restrained, and her arms pulled upward. She realized she was standing, then opened her eyes. Eddie saw blonde hair streaming down the side of her face, then noticed that it was much finer than before. She looked down, and saw the monstrous pair of breasts on her chest, and the wide hips flairing out under her now tiny waist. "What have you done to me?" she exclaimed to the fuzzy images of the two Goblinettes and a man in a suitcoat and tie that she saw. She heard her voice resounding, and was taken aback by the way it sounded, feminine and sexy.

At the same moment that a voice came through the speaker over her head, Eddie saw that she was enclosed completely in a cylinder.

"Welcome to my humble headquarters, Eddie. I am Norman Osborn, known better to you as the Green Goblin. I can't be here in person, but this is my voice you're hearing, and a computer-generated hologram you're seeing. You said you'd like to take on a new form to go after our hated arachnid. Well, this is your new form! Spider-Man had the same thing done to him two months ago, but she got away from us somehow. You are going to take her place in my team of Goblinettes, to hunt her down."

Norman had the computer start the transformation process as he continued, "The chemical bath you will be given now will give you goblin powers, and the mental conditioning I'll give you will be totally different from Ellen, MJ, or Paula Parker. Your memories and hates as Venom will be the basis for the new personality you'll have."

Eddie was going to say something in reply, but heard and then saw a chemical bath filling the cylinder around her feet, rising rapidly. She was stunned when a deafing racket came from the speaker, and made a shriek which matched the decibel level of the static when two probes slid from the wall and pierced her sides. The mental programming of the newest Goblinette had begun, with background information and instructions for her future life being given over the speaker while she was immersed.

* * * * *

It was well into the new day when the blonde opened her eyes. She couldn't yet know what time it was, however, since she found herself in a brightly lit, completely enclosed room. She couldn't sense anything on her body, and after propping herself up on an elbow, saw that she was stark naked. Looking up, she saw two Goblinettes seated on a couch facing her.

"Hello, Edie," said Ellen, "did you rest well?"

"I'm still a little hazy," she replied, wondering why her name sounded familiar, but different, also. "I know I've got the body of a stripper, but I don't think you'd want me prancing around in the buff, so do you have anything I could put on?" she added.

MJ lifted her hands, with another Goblinette costume folded in them. "This is your costume, Edie. With it, you'll be just like Ellen and I. Here you go," she said in offering the pile to her.

Edie was thinking that there was something she should be asking these two friends about, but couldn't quite place what it was, and met MJ halfway across the room. She held the tiny green leotard in front of herself, wondering how that could possibly cover her generous assets, then threw caution to the wind and put her legs through the holes and pulled it up. Sure enough, it clung tightly to every curve of her body, and stretched where needed to contain the monstrous orbs projecting from her chest.

Feeling better already, Edie took the boots and slipped them on, and just like Paula had earlier, stood in the heels like it was natural. After she pulled on the gloves, Edie put the choker around her throat, Ellen explaining about the comm device hidden in the medallion. When MJ offered Edie the mask, she took it from her eagerly, and started to pull it on after piling up her long blonde hair on her head. Edie felt her face tingle, then reshape into the face of the mask, as she pulled it over her head. As soon as she started to smooth out the neck over the choker, the mask made her stop, and Edie became a Goblinette mannequin.

Ellen saw this, and said, "Begin your final transformation, Edie."

After a few moments, the mask had integrated the programming given Edie overnight with the memories and hatreds of Eddie's past life. The newest Goblinette became alive again, putting her hands on her hips and saying, "I am Edie Osborn, the new fourth Goblinette. Let's go find our wayward third Goblinette, and bring her back or kill her!"

Inside her new personality, Eddie Brock was in heaven. He loved the way she looked, and revelled in the power she felt coursing through her veins.

All three Goblinettes marched into Norman's office to confer and work out a strategy for their vendetta against the wayward Goblinette.

In the government lab in Maryland that was holding the 'other' that morning, a lab worker was starting to run a test of its vulnerability to sound. The young man failed to notice the tensing of the ebony material that was the 'other' as he was tranfering it from the holding cell to the test tank. The 'other' had felt the loss of connection between itself and the entitiy it knew as Eddie. In its own form of panic, the 'other' felt a need to rebond with someone it was familiar with, and searched for the entity it knew as Peter. Finding nothing, it scanned for the entity it called Ann, and found her.

Ann Weying was in her house in New York. As the 'other' had done the last time it bonded with Ann, it waited for a phone to be picked up. Unwittingly, the lab worker himself became the conduit for the 'other's' escape. He picked up the phone on one of the desks to check with one of the technicians at the sound lab. He was stunned to see the 'other' turn itself into an electrical energy form and slide into the mouthpiece of the phone he was holding. The 'other' zapped through the phone system to the lines leading into Ann's house. There, it waited for her to use her own phone.

Before leaving for work, Ann decided to call in and see if they wanted her to stop and get anything to munch on. She never got the chance to ask. While she heard the phone at the other end ringing, Ann was alarmed to see something she thought she'd never see again. There was a black form sliding out of the earpiece of her phone, and it sprung to her body.

In seconds, Ann Weying was no more, and her phone was hanging with a voice at the other end wondering about the crank call. She Venom looked down upon her form, recognizing herself again. The 'other' had blended with the human female form and emphasised parts of it to make her stand out as something special. Where the 'other' had made Eddie a huge, muscular form, it made Ann a svelte, bulbous form. And this time, the 'other' decided to make She Venom really stand out. Her height was raised by the stiletto heels she formed under her ankles, and she also approved of the shape that gave to her legs. She Venom was now set to find out what had happened to Eddie and Peter.

Petra slept in that morning, having spent most of the night out on the streets. When she awoke, there was a message blinking for her on the phone next to her nightstand. It was from Sue, asking her to come on up and have some brunch when she felt ready. Petra looked over at the clock, and saw that it was already 9 AM.

She took a quick shower, and after shaving her legs and brushing her teeth, Petra put her Spider-Girl costume back on. Until she'd bought some clothes, it would have to do the job of dressing her. Petra thought of some casual clothes, and the costume changed to a jeans and pullover combination, with sneakers. She went back to the dressing table and applied some makeup, proud of the face she presented.

After she finished blotting her lips, Petra went into the hallway outside her room and proceeded to the elevator. She pushed the 18 button, then entered the verification code Sue had given her. The elevator started a nice, gentle climb to the Richards' living quarters, unlike the rocketing ride she'd had the day before.

Sue complimented Petra on the way she looked when the two met in the foyer outside the kitchen. "Is that your costume disguised as street clothes?" she asked, adding, "I like the way you've done up your face. You were beautiful to start with, when I saw your bare face after the battle, but now you look outstanding!"

Petra actually blushed, then said, "Thank you, Sue. I may have been a man before, but I've come to realize that this form is my present and future, so I'd better take pride in how I present myself. I've come to realize the assets I have, and am putting them to use. I'm going shopping when we're done, so that my costume doesn't get worn out!"

Sue giggled while offering Petra a bagel and some coffee, then said, "No need to worry about that costume! It's almost indestructable. Do you want me to tag along during your shopping trip?"

"No offense, Sue," she replied, "but I'm going to pick up some things I'd rather keep to myself for now, and I want to visit a friend also, who may not want to see even me, let alone anyone else."

Sue was intrigued by both parts of Petra's answer, but agreed to let her go out on her own. She didn't want to increase the mental anguish that she knew the ex-Spider-Man must be going through, and therefore didn't tell her that she wanted to join her just to be able to have something to do. Her husband Reed was holed up in his laboratory like usual, her brother Johnny was out doing God knows what, and Ben was out visiting his friend Alicia.

As Petra left to go on her way, Sue tried to find things to do, eventually turning on CNN to see if anything interesting was going on around the world. As if they could find anything that the Fantastic Four's computer didn't know about with its access to DoD, CIA and NSA networks.

Petra's first priority was to visit her old friend, Felicia Hardy. Or rather, Peter's old friend. That was going to be the hard part. She hailed a cab, and after a typical session of wending and weaving through the heavy New York traffic, got out to pay the cabbie, who couldn't seem to take his eyes off her chest. Petra giggled, knowing that she was now a magnet for men, and turned to go up the steps leading to Felicia's brownstone townhouse.

In the four weeks since she had been nearly mauled by the three Goblinettes, the Black Cat had recovered rather nicely. Or maybe it should be said, the 'former' Black Cat. Felicia had loved the action and thrills her alter ego had given her, but the injuries incurred when she was nearly killed affected both her mind and her body. She was in a severe case of shell shock, dreading the thought of ever putting on her costume again, and the joints in her legs were just barely able to allow her to stand and walk. They would eventually gain back their full use, but for now, Felicia was a barely walking, very frightened kitty.

When she answered the doorbell by looking out through her peephole, Felicia saw a beautiful woman that she had never seen before, and hit the intercom. "Good morning, Maam," she said, "what can I do for you?"

Petra pushed on the button to reply, saying, "Felicia, you may not think you know me, but you do. If you can trust me to let me in, I have a story to tell that will floor you!"

"Well, just who are you?"

"I am Petra Parker, but you knew me better as Peter Parker!"

The door flew open, with a complete look of puzzlement on the face of the white haired semi-invalid. Petra opened her arms in invitation, and the two embraced in a light hug. Felicia was amazed at the size of the chest that met her own. "Come on in, Petra," she said, "I can't offer you anything to eat, but I can get some coffee or juice if you'd like, while we find out what you've been up to. Did you just get back from radical sexual reassignment surgery, or something?"

Petra accepted the offer for some more coffee, and started her story while Felicia was in her kitchen. When both were seated, Petra told Felicia about her time as a Goblinette, and asked her if she would please forgive her for being the one who actually gave her the injuries. Felicia accepted the sincere apology, then asked about what Petra was doing now.

"I have been working with the Fantastic Four since yesterday," she told her. "I am living in a guest room they have set up for me, until I can get on my own feet again. Mr. Fantastic also made a new costume for me. Watch!"

Petra stood up, then thought of her Spider-Girl costume, into which her clothes then morphed. "See? This is my new identity, Spider-Girl. The costume Reed made for me can change into almost anything I can imagine, and right now is the only thing I have to wear. I'm going shopping after I leave you."

"You look incredible, Petra," Felicia told her, "and I hope you have a lot of luck in continuing your crime fighting. I wish I could still join you."

Petra thought for a moment, then said, "Well, maybe you can, sort of, let's see..." and in moments, Felicia saw a long black haired Black Cat standing in front of her. "With a white wig, I could go out and anyone seeing me would think you were back in action!" Petra giggled.

"You look great in my costume, Petra," Felicia said, "but please don't do that. I have retired, and I don't want any connection to my past. If anyone saw you that way, they might come looking for me!"

Petra changed her costume back into her street clothes, then said, "I'm sorry, Felicia, I didn't mean to hurt you, either just now, or a month ago. I promise I won't do that ever again." The two of them then started into small talk, going over past glories and future possibilities. Petra eventually left Felicia's townhouse feeling much more confident as a female, while Felicia herself had started the climb out of her funk.

* * * * *

Petra's first goal when she hit the shopping district was to get a set of wigs. Pet would need to put on different looks, and Spider-Girl could use them in doing different costumes to completely change. Paying for these with some of the prior night's earnings seemed only fair, and she then bought a wheeled tote to carry her newly acquired boxes.

A leather goods store had two nice purses which she bought so that the old weapons bag could be put away, and she was also pleasantly surprised to hear from the clerk that they had a back side section of the store with more risque leather items. The bankcard was put to use there, and Petra was really glad she'd obtained the tote.

When she got to the clothes store, Petra already had a three foot stack of boxes on the tote, and left it with the security desk while she started to build her wardrobe. She decided that renting a car or van later on might be better, but still had to think of a way to get a driver's license that matched her new identity. Maybe she could convince Reed...

* * * * *

After she was finished with the shopping she could handle with just her tote, Petra took another cab back to Four Freedoms Plaza. She unloaded all her boxes and bags into her room, mentally thanking Sue, and promising herself to do so in person later, that her closet was huge. Petra decided to change into Spider-Girl and do her first patrol in her new form.

Reminding herself of a mantra she used to repeat to herself when she was Spider-Man, Spider-Girl said out loud to herself, "With great power comes great responcibility." She vowed to herself then and there that no matter what Reed Richards had said about the impossibility of bringing back the personalities of his wife Mary Jane and their friend Liz Osborn, she would find some way to do just that.

The webshooters worked just as well as before. To her glee, Spider-Girl found that the combination of the light weight of her new body and the strength imbued by the Goblin formulae, added to her original Spider powers, gave her a longer and easier swing on her weblines.

Near her old employer, the Daily Bugle, she spotted the Scorpion trying to break open an ATM machine. Spider-Girl couldn't figure out for the life of her why he would be stooping to such a low payoff crime, but he was breaking the law, and needed to be stopped.

The Scorpion caught sight of a blue and red flash in the corner of his eye, and cursed. He hadn't seen Spider-Man in so long that he thought the web slinger was out of action. Scorpion was close to correct in that assessment, but couldn't know why. As Spidey swung down upon him, Scorpion cocked his stinger tail to strike, and turned to face his foe. He only got started with his exclamation, "So, Spider-Ma..."

Scorpion took one look at the breasts on the chest of the blue and red figure descending upon him, and froze up. "You're not Spider-Man," he observed with astute clarity, "who are you?!?"

Taking advantage of the surprise her shape brought, Spider-Girl shot out a webline that wound around Scorpion's tail and raised right arm. "I'm Spider-Girl, Scorpion," she answered in a voice that seemed to
ooze sexuality. "Get used to it. I'm the new web slinger in town!" Making a web net, Spidey hoisted Scorpion aboard, then hung it from a nearby street light, with an attached sign saying, "Greetings from Spider-Girl. Enjoy!"

* * * * *

She Venom had gone to Eddie's apartment, and found it empty. The neighbors had seen Venom before, and didn't pay much attention to She Venom, even though her shape in no way resembled Venom. To them, one costumed fool was as good as another. When she went to Peter's townhouse, she saw that it had been relet long ago, with no indication of where her first host had gone. She Venom could do no more, and started to just roam the streets, lost without a goal. Ann's mind was influencing the 'other' as much as it was controlling her, and she was watching for criminal activity she could stop during her meandering.

By sheer chance, She Venom's path ended up crossing Spider-Girl's soon after she had left the Scorpion hanging. Both Ann and the 'other' recognized the blue and red costume, even if the shape wasn't right. She Venom was in front of Spidey's path, so merely shot a line of her own up to a nearby building to bring herself to the same height.

Spider-Girl recognized the shape of She-Venom as probably being Ann, whom Spider-Man had tackled once before, then noted the enhanced form she now had. She giggled to herself at how close She Venom matched her own shape, down to even the heels on her feet. As she got closer, Spidey said, "Hello there, Ann. How is it you're now She Venom instead of Eddie being Venom?"

"There is no sign of my other bonder, Eddie," said She Venom, "and I could find no trace of Peter, either. You look like him, but I sense no connection to Peter. The 'other' is letting me have a bit more control of our actions this time, and I want to find out what is going on."

They found a rooftop with a bit of shielding from the surrounding buildings, and the two buxom figures sat down for a girl to girl, Spider to sort-of Spider chat. Spidey told Ann about her recent problems with the Green Goblin, resulting in the form she now had.

Ann asked if Spidey had any problem with the 'other' forming a new link, and Petra decided that there could be no harm, and probably a large bit of good in having the 'other' as an ally instead of a foe. Spider-Girl lifted She Venom's left hand to her cheek, where the 'other' spread out temporarily, forging a new link to a mind that bore a great similarity to the Peter it had known earlier.

This gave Petra an idea, and when She Venom pulled her hand back away from her face, she said, "Ann, I noticed the way the 'other' enhanced your figure. Have you seen how closely your new shape matches my own? My costume was made by Dr. Reed Richards of the Fantastic Four, and is capable of some interesting tricks. Watch this!"

She Venom watched as Spidey willed her costume to take on the same color and shape as the 'other' and in moments, thought she was looking into a mirror. Spider-Girl looked like a twin of She Venom. "How did you do that, Spider-Girl?" She Venom asked.

"The costume will match whatever I see in my mind," Spidey replied, "and I'm starting to think that this capability can be put to a lot of uses in the future." The black and white costume then reverted to the normal blue and white.

Spider-Girl told Ann to go back to her house, and that maybe some sign of Eddie would turn up later. Finally having some form of satisfaction, She Venom agreed, and started her own form of swinging back to her home.

* * * * *

The rest of Spider-Girl's patrol went more smoothly, consisting of bewildering a few muggers with her astounding strength, and warning a couple of prostitutes of approaching police. She had to watch out for her business associates. To her mind, prostitution was not a crime. It was a way of life.

* * * * *

One of the items in the evening newscast was a brief segment on the web found with the Scorpion inside. The reporters speculated about the signature on the sign, wondering if Spider-Man had new friends. Ben Grimm caught that while watching the news before dinner, and mentioned to Sue and Johnny that their new boarder had been in action. A trio of Goblinettes also heard about the story, after their computer flagged the story with a spider connection. They now knew who they were hunting down more precisely.

* * * * *

Spider-Girl got back to her room around 6 PM, and changed out of her costume into one of the dresses she'd picked up earlier in the day. When she went upstairs, Petra found that dinner was just starting, and that a place had been set for her in anticipation of her arrival. "Congratulations on your first publicly acknowledged nab, Spider-Girl!" Johnny said. He told her about the news report Ben had spotted earlier.

"They had that on the news already?" Petra replied. "I didn't figure on news getting out about that incident until tomorrow morning or the 11 o'clock news tonight at the earliest. Too bad they weren't there to get my picture!"

Reed chuckled, then said, "Maybe you need to set up your camera and do some freelance photography like you used to do for the Bugle. Your Spider-Man pictures used to be front page material, perhaps J Jonah would be willing to pay for Spider-Girl pictures, too!"

She giggled, then turning to Sue, Petra said, "Sue, I went by my old friend's house, and had a long heart to heart with her. I think she's accepted me for who I am, and will be getting herself moving again. I also bought some clothes and accessories, and I can't thank you enough for the size of the closet you gave me!"

Glad that somebody was talking to her, Sue replied, "I'm glad things worked out for you, Spider-Girl. I knew you'd need space, that's why I got the room for you, and prestocked it with toiletries and makeup. I'm glad you are accepting yourself as you are, and able to live with the change. By the way, have you got a name we can call you other than Spider-Girl?"

"I guess there isn't any secret identity to worry about right now, so just call me Petra," she answered. "Now, can we eat before this stuff gets cold?"

After dinner, Petra stuck around to help Sue clean up while the guys split up to go watch TV or whatever else they found. They chatted girl talk for a while, Petra glad that she could fit in. They both figured, quite correctly, that the programming she'd undergone must have given her basic female instincts and knowledge.

Petra wasn't ready just yet to tell Sue about the more risque female actions in which she was participating. She couldn't wait to get back out on the streets a bit later. Before going down to her room to change, Petra checked with Reed in his lab about how she could get a driver's license. He told her he'd see what he could do.

* * * * *

Pet didn't need her costume for the clothes she would wear that evening. The bright red minidress she'd bought that afternoon was going to get its first wearing. It had a very low front, which exposed a large amount of her cleavage, and the sleeves were connected under her shoulders, making it look like a sleeveless dress with fingerless gloves. Pet had some black opaque hose on, attached to the pink garter belt under her dress.

Her visit to the shoe store had been quite productive, and Pet's new red ankle boots with spike heels went very nicely with the dress. To complete the red ensemble, Pet got out her new firey red pageboy wig, and slipped it over the wig cap under which she'd stuffed her own black hair. Once her face had been made up to change from the beautiful goddess into the trashy whore, Pet was ready for action.

Skillfully avoiding patroling cops and undercover female cops getting their own thrills, Pet had another night of productive selling. Some of her customers actually worked on Pet long enough for her to come to her own orgasms, which she enjoyed very much. Female sex seemed to be so much better than what she remembered having as Peter. Maybe he just hadn't given his all to Mary Jane.

Late in the evening, Pet nearly lost her cool when she saw the john who was walking up to her. It was Reed Richards! "Hi there, baby," he said, "are you open for business?"

Getting a hold on herself quickly, Pet replied in a sexy voice that she hoped he wouldn't recognize, "Sure thing, mister. I sell whatever you're looking for, and I have quality merchandise. I don't come cheap. I have a room nearby we can use, or do you have somewhere else in mind?"

He took her by the hand, saying, "Come on, lets go to my car. I can drive us to your room."

"It's only two blocks, sir. That's an easy walk."

"But it's safer in my car," he said. "Lets go!"

After both toying with the incredibly talented man, and being toyed with by him for a bit more than an hour, Pet felt she'd had enough for one night. Mostly, it was the shock of having fantastic sex with Mr. Fantastic, a man she would have bet her life on being a solid family man. Her earnings were more than adequate for the night anyway, so after waiting around to make sure she didn't arrive back at Four Freedoms Plaza at the same time Reed did, Pet took a cab back to her room, wishing she could charge the cabbie for the show he got in his rear view mirror.

Petra did not sleep well that evening. She was worried about the morality of her actions. She had no qualms about the way she sold her body; that just came natural to her. It was to whom she'd sold it that bothered her. She would just have to tell Sue about it in the morning.

* * * * *

During breakfast the next morning, Petra told Sue there was something she had to tell her in her room. When they were both seated on her bed, she told Sue first about her night time job, then about the talented customer she'd had the night before. At first breaking down in tears, Sue got her compusure back and asked Petra how she had been making out. When she explained that she had done very nicely in her first two nights, Petra was puzzled by the look on Sue's face.

The answer came as a shock. "Petra, I now know why Reed has been so cold in bed with me, and gone from home regularly. He had always told me that he was working in his lab, out with the the Avengers or some other scientific buddies."

After the two women stared at each other for a pregnant moment, Sue said, "If Reed thinks I'm not good enough for him, I'll join you and see if there is anybody else that will think I'm good enough. Tonight, give me a call before you go out, and I'll come down to get dressed with you. I am taking control of my life, now. The Invisible Woman is no more. I am forever more Malice, a woman looking out for herself and no one else."

"Sue, are you sure that is what you want to do?" asked Petra. "I thought you had told me you didn't ever want to become Malice, ever again."

Calmly looking at Petra, directly into her eyes, Sue replied, "Susan Richards seems to be a nobody around here, so I'm going to see if allowing Malice to be dominant in my psyche will make any difference." They took each other's hands and squeezed them together in a show of unity.

Petra then told Sue of her plans to revisit her friend, who she felt confident to say was Felicia Hardy, the ex-Black Cat. She also told Sue that she was going to go house hunting, looking for a place she could use as her new Spider's Web, and maybe do some more shopping.
