Petroman was established in year 1977. it is now the largest education & training organization in the field of information technology.until year 2000, it was under the ministry of industries and production but later on, it has been taken over by information technology division, ministry of science & technology.Today,it has come of age,has branched out into multi-disciplinary/multi industrial fields and has carved its niche as leader in the information technology , not only in terms of figures,but also of its high quality of training , its dynamic strategy and its experimental training format.

Network of campuses :

Petroman has grown into a national orgainization with 22 campuses in all major cities of pakistan. these include : six at Karachi two at rawalpindi & Lahore , one each at Hyderabad ,Sukkur , Larkana , Quetta , Multan, Faisalabad, Gujranwala , Islamabad, D.I.Khan, Peshawar, Sarghoda and Mirpur(AJK)

Objectives

Petroman's Training objectives are to serve the industry in three distinct ways :
* by the provision of range of carefully designed open training programs(short as well as long duration) in the fields of engineering & computers.
* by working in-house in the designing and implementation of especially tailored-made training program.
* by undertaking consultancy assignments , concerned with identifying and responding to oppourtunities for improving the managerial effectiveness through sound organizational planning , management development and training.

Petroman is uniquley placed to provide breadth and depth of knowledge and expeience needed to make industrial training effective. some of the features that mark its outstanding learining environement are: * Members of the faculty have an exellent track record as academicians and practising managers. * Petroman makes good use of the moderen training technology; it has well equipped computer & elctronic labs, A.V , Aid , a library & other facilities that make training effective. * more importantly , Petroman's dynamic strategy , its experimential training approach and monitoring systems which no training institute in the country can match.

Our Track Record

Petroman has ti-date provided training to about , 65000 persons in different fields at various levels . the manpower trained includes 43,000 computer personnel. a total number of 18500 particulars attended Petroman's scheme of professional development programs and in-company programs in fields such as management , computers and engineering during the last 20 years.
