Good Morning, Europe!
This is a section of
the Childhood Chronicles Project and it has run as local project in our
school during the 1999/2000 school year. It will be internationally open
next school year.
As teachers we must give
the greatest importance to the "heart" of our pupils. They are able to
learn about the true values of life not only in school or family areas,
but also in networking projects nowadays.
The values of life are defined
as the social principle, goals or standards held or accepted by an individual,
class or society.
Participants are invited
to submit a short literary composition of an analytical, interpretive or
reflective kind, expressing the outlook and personality of the children
about the ideals and principles of their life in Europe. They can also
share diverse life experiences of how they should live or about the most
valuable things in their life as European citizens.
The goal of the project is
to encourage pupils to learn from the experiences of the others and to
avoid the errors of the past, developing a sense of individual identity
related to the fundamental truths and rules of European life.
