Proverbs Treasure
Proverbs Treasure
is a section of Childhood Chronicles Project launched by students
from Duiliu Zamfirescu School, in Focsani, Romania.
It is known that the proverb
is a short, traditional saying that expresses some obvious truth or familiar
experience.
We invite the participants
to write short stories inspired by a proverb or a saying. The story can
be also the result of an interview of relatives or other adults of the
community. The participants can submit local or famous stories retold by
themselves, adding as conclusion an adequate proverb.
The main goal of Proverbs
Treasure is to preserve national culture, to understand the other cultures
of Europe and the world and to incorporate the traditional oral knowledge
in education, internationally shared.
