DESCRIPTION: Children's folk games represent a stage of childhood, mainly in its first period. Children come to understand the environment due to the songs and games they practise and get involved in. Children's folk games reflect the inner life of the kids, their gifts and preferences. The followings groups are known: 

1.) Amusing (funny), satirical, counting out items versified or not. 

We are interested in this subject due to the fact that it's a syncretistic phenomenon because it combines the rhymes, the tune, the gesture, the movement and the playing act. It has collective character, it's created only by children and that is why it maintains its traditional aspect. It contains universal elements, commonly used by the children around the world. Family and school are their main inspiring sources. 

CATEGORY: Arts, Language and Social Studies 
AGES and LANGUAGE: All languages and ages are welcome! Each of us was a child once! 

CURRICULUM FOCUS: 
-knowledge and preservation of children's folk games; 
-creating new images and ideas by combining the experience acquired in their games its reflecting in their artworks and photographs; 
-knowledge of the new tendencies in updating children's folk games; 
-how could children's games anticipate the adaptation to their future social life. 
OUTCOMES: 
-editing a universal anthology with children's folk games, artworks and photographs. 
-a recorded tape; 
-a web site. 
CONTRIBUTION: 
Games are children's first stage in their adaptation for the rules of life. The positive attitude generated by games will lead to a positive attitude towards social life.

DESCRIPCION: Los juegos infantiles tradicionales representan un estadio de la infancia, especialmente en el primer periodo. Los chicos llegan a comprender el mundo que los rodea por medio de las canciones y los juegos que practican y en los que se implican. Los juegos infantiles tradicionales reflejan la vida interior de los chicos, sus talentos y sus preferencias. Se pueden agrupar de la siguiente forma: 

1.) Divertidos (comicos), satiricos, conteo para excluir, tanto en verso como en prosa. 

Estamos interesados en este tema debido al hecho de que es un fenomeno sincretistico porque combina los versos, la melodia, los gestos, los movimientos y el juego. Tiene un caracter colectivo, es creado solo por chicos y esa es la razon por la que mantiene su aspecto tradicional. Contiene elementos universales, usados en comun por los chicos de todo el mundo. La familia y la escuela son las dos principales fuentes de 
inspiracion. 

CATEGORIA: Artes, Lengua y Estudios Sociales 
EDADES e IDIOMA: Son bienvenidos todas las edades e idiomas! Cada uno de nosotros fue un ni#o alguna vez! 

ENFOQUE CURRICULAR: 
- conocimiento y preservacion de los juegos infantiles tradicionales; 
- creacion de nuevas imagenes e ideas combinando la experiencia adquirida en los juegos y su reflejo en sus trabajos artisticos y fotos; 
- conocimiento de las nuevas tendencias en la actualizacion de los juegos infantiles tradicionales; 
- como pueden los juegos anticipar la adaptacion a su vida social futura. 

RESULTADOS: 
- edicion de una antologia universal con los juegos infantiles tradicionales, trabajos artisticos y fotos. 
- una cinta grabada. 
-un sitio web. 

APORTES: Los juegos son el primer estadio de los chicos en su adaptacion a las reglas de la vida. Una actitud positiva generada por el juego los llevara a una actitud positiva en su vida de sociedad. 

Los invitamos a unirsenos! Deseamos recibir: una descripcion corta de cualquier juego, rima de conteo para exclusion, canciones grabadas, trabalenguas, trabajos artisticos o fotos que representen juegos de grupo.
