Musical Preferences
in Hungary
I really like the music
of Carl Orff. My favourite is Carmina Burana. I first heard it in Town
Szeged, when we were listening to music with my aunt and my cousins. My
father borrowed this CD, because he also likes it and we recorded id at
home for us.
This music is beautiful and
glorious. So it isn't surprising that Istvan Kovacs (the best Hungarian
professional boxer) chose this music for his entry into the ring. His entries
are always glorious. I was very happy when I heard this music on TV. That
was Istvan Kovacs's first match.
Unfortunately I haven't got
enough time so I can't listen to music nowadays, but I always try to spare
time for that at weekends.

Stiltskin:
Inside
On of my favourite tracks
is Inside made by Stiltskin. I didn't mean to borrow it some years ago,
I only took is by chance from my cousin.
This track is one on the
Best of Levi's Hits. It is the music of a commercial of Levi's. At the
beginning if sounds as if you were in a church, listening to the chorus
and suddenly it turns into rock style.
First a man with good voice
shouts, then talks, shouts... I used to listen to it half year ago, when
I thought my life was boring and terrible. I was depressed by winter. In
spring I become cheerful again and I was glad, that I was OK. This song
will always remind me, that it's not the good solution to let yourself
depressed.

I like different
sorts of music, so I haven't got a favourite one. For example I like the
songs of Trainspotting, the Underworld (it's an English group), but i like
Mike Oldfield and The Beatles too.
I think the most famous of
them is The Beatles, so I'm writing about them. As far as I know, they
made entirely new music and it had got a mighty success among young people.
They were youthful, handsome, powerful and they sang with hearth and soul
which was unusual in the 60s.
Some years ago I saw a TV
programme about their lives and I became curious to listen to their songs.
My father likes them, so he has some Beatles CDs. I listened to one and
I liked it very much. My favourite song is 'Let it be' by Lennon and McCartney.
I think those airs are much happier than music nowadays and it's much easier
to dance for The Beatles than to dance for a techno song. There's one more
advantage of there songs, they're in English, so I usually can understand
what they're singing about.
I'm very sad because there
are no parties with this sort of music for youngers.
