Backstreet Boys

Backstreet Boys is the name of one music group. The group consists of five boys: A. J., Nick, Brian, Howie and the oldest member, Kevin.

In the last time they had many problems with their families and with health. It was the worst with Brian. The piece of news that Brian is very ill caused a shock to a lot of fans. He could even die. When Brian was five years old, the doctors found a hole in his heart.

At that time he became ill and nearly died. As long as he began with Backstreet Boys, he didn't have any problems. But stress of last years and difficult tours of the world brought his problems back again. His doctor advised him an operation of the heart. In May 1998 Brian underwent an operation. Everything seemed good.

Nick is a family type and he still wants to live with his parents. They moved to Ruskin in October 1994. He wants to marry and stay there. He loves a quiet country. Every day he played basketball with his friends and did gymnastics. Every day played the percussion instrument and improved the new songs BSB. On holidays he spent a lot of time with his sisters and brothers. Lesly is thirteen years old, she is a perfect sportswoman and a talented singer. B. J. wants to be an actress and Angel wants to become a teacher. For Aaron he wrote a song. Nick has got small dogs. Their names are William and Michael. He has got a collection of plush toys.

A. J. already lives in his new flat in Orland. Howie plans to buy a summer residence for his parents in Puerto Rico. They have got many relatives there. Kevin set up a music studio for them.

Boys make almost all songs for their new album: Back to your heart, Where do we go from here, The perfect thing etc. They wanted to buy houses in Florida. Each of them makes his independent album. They would like to shoot some film, TV serial and go for countries, where they haven't been yet. Kevin wants to make and produce song even for the other singers. They should have come to Prague in 2000 but the concert was canceled.

These five handsome boys are from Orlando, Florida. They are talented and they enjoy every minute of their life. Nick, Brian, AJ, Howie and Kevin seem to be happy but they have bad moments, disappointments and weaknesses as everyone does. I can describe them in a few words: Brian loves God, girls and loves basketball. He had some heart problems, but everything is OK now. Nick is the youngest member of the band. He has no problems, he is full of compassion and is very romantic. Kevin is the oldest of the five. He has the sense of responsibility and is often melancholic. He composes new songs for the piano, especially ballads. He is like a calm , but deep water. AJ loves the Eiffel Tower very much. He loves reading poems written by Poe and Shakespeare. Howie is a perfect gentleman. He is faithful and loves his nick-name: 'The Latin Lover'.

Lou Pearlman, who gave them a loan of $3,000,000 to enter the world of music, discovered them.

Their first success was called 'Everybody' and it gave us shivers. The clip is a processing of Dracula's myth. They all confessed that they made a passion for the fearful count. 'Quit Playing Games' which sold over 1 million copies and 'I'll Never Break Your Heart' are some of their biggest singles.

Another chart-breaker is 'As Long As You Love Me' and it seems that they won't stop here. In February '98 they released a new single called 'All I Have To Give' and in '99 they released a new album called 'Millennium'. Their latest hit is 'Larger Than Life'. We can say that they brought a new style in music and in fashion. They sing a lot of love songs. They try to show that they are nonconformists and independent. They won a lot of awards for the best song, best band, best choreography, so they must be the best.

One of the bands that I like most is the one of Backstreet Boys (BSB) formed by: Brian, Kevin, A.J., Nick and Howie.

Their band became known and very appreciated all over the world because of their songs but also for the way they look. They had a big success from the beginning in 1995, and ever since their career has been in full rising: they won a lot of prizes and their songs remained in tops for a long time. I like them not because most of my friends think they're cool, but because I think they're good singers, good dancers and last but not least good looking.

Almost all of their songs refer to love, especially their ballads and for this they can reach easier the heart of the youngsters. Their album "Millennium", from which I like best represents their big coming back of this year: "Spanish Eyes", "No one else comes close", "I want it that way".
