Ricky Martin

Enrique Martin Morales (Ricky Martin) was born on the 24th of December 1971, in Hato Rey, Puerto Rico. He has a numerous family, consisting of his parents, Nereida Morales and Enrique Martin Negroni, and his four brothers: Fernando, Daniel, Eric and Vanessa.

When he was six years old he was a little "expert" in dancing and singing and when he was twelve he started his career together with four friends, founding together the "Menundo" band.

When he was 17 years old, he separated from the "Menundo" and he went to New York for a year, where he studied music and theatre. In 1991 he recorded the first album solo, and two years later the second album had been launched. The year 1998 is the moment when Ricky opens his way to the international recognition.
