Our Sound of Music
We usually listen to
electronic music: Breakbeat, House, Acid-jazz, so that's why we've decided
to write you about the establishment of Kharkiv's Electro Movement (KEM).
All has started from appearing
in Kharkiv some tracks of Marusha, Scooter and, later, The Prodigy. And
after that there have appeared the first guys in a strange wears, who were
called "Ravers". It was in 1989-92. They dyed their hair and paint them
into vivid colors.
Some people, who were shocked
by this had become annoyed and really mad. Therefore those "Ravers" in
order to get to their Night-clubs had to hide their acid-green hair under
their modest caps, hats and to sneak very quietly on their way there. But
when that "raverity" became more mass-loving occasion everything bad against
them became more smoothing and only slightly worried. That was happened
when there have appeared a real pack of stunning groups like Fatboy Slim,
ColdCut, Propeller Heads and many, many, many, many more others.
