Music Has Lost its Meaning

Sometimes music has lost its meaning. Musicians just redo songs that have been redone many times or get someone else to write songs for them. There are some artists who do write their own songs but most of them do not get recognized. The few artists that do get noticed usually have better and more meaningful songs. Then on the other hand the artists who don't write their songs always seem to sell millions of copies. This might be because these artists have to looks and that will always sell.

The problem with the music industry today is that songs have no deep meaning to them. The majority of songs repeat the same message again and again. This can mainly be attributed to teenage artists who want to get rich fast. They get other people to write songs for them and sing them with who knows how much computer editing. These teenage artists repeat the same theme which usually is "I will love you forever and ever." This is a weak and powerless message but because of looks it sell. The only thing you have to take into consideration is that the bottom line is money. A record company will always sign so any artist who can make money.

To think about it is almost depressing. We listen to this on the radio and TV, then we go out and buy this garbage. I just hope that one day a teenage artist would write an entire album with a deep and powerful meaning.
