THE THUNDERING HOOVES OF THE BUFFALO NO LONGER SOUNDED ON THE PLAINS.
The other animals, fish, and birds were fast disappearing also. Soon the only wild animals that could be observed were mostly in the National Parks and Preserves.
The land was filled with the sounds of civilization. The noise of cities and industry, the waters were polluted, the land used until it dried up and blew away.
