Today is our last day in Massachusetts, it's raining. My plans for tomorrow got washed out, so to speak, so I decided to go home a day early.

The temperatures rose into the 80s this week so it's muggy and not very pleasant for puppies to run around like they tend to do. I'm slowly gathering up things, my sister found a dog toy I must have left here a year ago. My mom and brother are returning to MI with us and it will be interesting to see if I can fit 3 people, a dog and all our stuff into my Ford Taurus. Wish I had a Taurus wagon but the idiots at Ford Motor Company stopped making them years ago. In that way they are right up there with Toyota, another company of idiots who stopped making the Camry wagon.

Idiots. Whichever fools thought they weren't needed ought to be axed at both companies. It's impossible to buy those wagons used, they are still so popular. The powers that be must have thought SUVs were a better way to go, figuring on getting more money. Now with the gas crunch they'll be discovering how unpopular SUVs are and end up with a surplus on the lots. Want to bet that even now the won't slow down on the SUV production?

I'm looking forward to being home again and I bet Luna will go nuts when she realizes where she is tomorrow night. It will be a long drive, about 15 hours, but with my brother also driving it will be less tiring for me. And mom and Luna can snooze in the back seat.

I can't wait to see Rocket again. And DH, too.
