Two labs, a few ducks and 2 humans living the good life in the cedar swamps of Michigan!
Into the Pond

The duckies waddled into the big pond on their own today for a bit of a swim. YEA!!!! A couple of them even performed little dives and under water swims.

The temps have still been hot, in the 80s and fairly humid but the duckies don't seem to mind. They will follow me, or Rocket or Luna, which ever of us is up and moving around, unless they're engrossed in preening or bug chasing. The Rouens and Indian Runners seem particularly adept at bug catching. All of them like having cutworms tossed into their midst too.

Had a bit of a scare today, Keisha, Yogi's sister showed up in my yard unannounced on her way back from a sneak into town. (The kids at her house seem much too adept at letting her out off her chain. The ducks were on their daily excursion and were hanging about my veggie garden and I was just returning from the garage 200 feet away with a shovel. Fortunately Luna took it into her head to chase her out of the yard. Good puppy!!!

About half an hour later I heard her tags start jingling and she was running at top speed across the yard. Chance had appeared out of nowhere (this time I was sitting near the ducks) and Luna immediately chased him away too! Wonderful puppy!!!

She got a biscuit for that.
