The wind and rain are screwing up my satellite TV and before anyone suggests I switch to cable there is no cable here, except the 22 channels sent to the satellite dishes on the outskirts of town. I'm not paying $40 a month for 22 basic channels. Nuts!

Plus it's Monday night and SciFi channel is showing 4 Enterprise episodes in a row, which I never could see when they first aired because my satellite company didn't have a contract with UPN the now defunct channel I think it first appeared on. It's not the best series in the world and I see why it was cancelled; how much time travel can one stand in a show? It went to the writers' heads.

So I'm looking at a blank screen for the past 95 minutes or so except for the little phrase "searching for satellite signal". It seems to be hopeless. Plus this north wind has dropped the outside temps into the 50s. Haven't seen that in a month. What happened to the high heat and humidity of the past week?
