I just came in from an emergency veggie garden excursion. At 10:05 pm the National Weather Service issued a frost advisory!! Nothing like telling us at the last minute! So armed with flashlight I covered my tomatoes and peppers the best I could. At least the beans and okra haven't sprouted yet. Alas, my apple tree is unprotected as are my summer flowers I just planted but that's the way it goes sometimes.

My apple tree better make it, this is the first year it's going to have apples! ARGH!!!!!
