I forget to mention the bear incident we had about a month ago. My brother and mom had only been here a couple days when I looked out front one morning and saw the tall feeder pole with the metal, squirrel proof feeder laying on the ground. I went out to investigate and the pole was bent 90 degrees from vertical and and roof of the feeder bent out of shape. Nothing else could have done this. DH managed to bend the feeder back into usable shape and straighten the pole. Next year I'll have to be sure that I stop feeding the birds before the bears come out of hibernation.
