Rocket and Luna |
||||
Cold again and sunny. But it is only February and this is northern Michigan. Eight degrees is only a touch below average around here. We still managed to walk. At least the wind had died down.
I didn't let Rocket and Luna go to my neighbor's last night, and imagine ... they ate breakfast this morning! No quibbling. No turning up their noses at it because it didn't have cheese or steak juice in it. They chowed down like they were hungry. Breaking your fast, that's what it's supposed to mean. Must have felt good not to feel bloated all night to the point of not being hungry in the morning. I'm not sure they felt that way with the amount of sighing and the beseeching looks they gave me, pestering me to go outside and unlock the gate. Luna didn't even try to crawl under and go alone. They either laid on the living room floor staring at me, or outside on their beds staring longingly towards Yogi's house. I am sure it helped that they got a few biscuits from me, no where near what they hoped for, but enough to placate them. Hopefully, tonight they won't look so miserable. Nah, they're too good at it. It's why my neighbor can't help but feed them constantly.
