I was discharged from physical therapy today, 10 days earlier than expected. My therapist said that another week wouldn't give me any real improvement and I could just continue on my own. Eventually, my shoulder will hurt less and become more mobile, assuming I keep up my exercises. I know I'm going to have one heck of a bill that the insurance will not cover. Fortunately, the hospital will work with me in stretching out my payments. I wonder if I can talk them into a 5 year plan?
What does this mean for my pups? No more dropping them off at my neighbor's or leaving them home alone for a minimum 3 hour stint 3 times per week. (the first 2 months it was 5 times a week!) They'll get more walks, more attention, more time for puppy fun and frolicking!
It was such a nice day today (45 f!!!!) and I was so happy that I took them for 2 walks this afternoon and threw lots of snowballs. The higher temps finally melted the snow enough to be able to pack snow. It's been so cold we've had only fluffy snow. That's only good for burrowing your nose into (if you're Luna) or making snow angels if you're Rocket. Luna would chase the snowballs; Rocket is a bit too old for that, he prefers I toss them into the air so he can catch them. Then he chomps them to bits.
Tomorrow our walk will be in the afternoon again as I have to go into the city in the morning for an MRI of my other shoulder. My fingers are crossed that this one will not need surgery also.
