Three weeks ago I felt something pop in my left shoulder while I was exercising the other one during physical therapy. My upper arm did not hurt at the time, just the shoulder itself. Yet now my left upper arm hurts to move like my right arm did when that shoulder started freezing up last July. It's called impingement syndrome. Yesterday I had an arthrogram of my left shoulder which involves sticking a needle into it and injecting dye to take x-rays, followed by an MRI. I hope it's just a reaction to the dye and having my shoulder violently manipulated for the x-rays. It could be another year before my right shoulder thaws completely if at all and I really don't need this to happen to my left.
But today was my first post PT day when I could spend all day with my dogs. I think they enjoyed it though they won't really notice anything different until I've been home for a solid week. Next week there are doctor and dentist appointments so it won't be till next Friday that I'll be home for numerous days in row.
We took two walks. The weather turned cold again but stayed sunny and we didn't have the winds we had yesterday which was nice. We had to avoid tree limbs that had fallen everywhere plus the 5 trees DH took down in preparation for next winter's firewood. On our walks Luna carried a large beef bone and would drop it, run through the woods, pick it up again till, of course, I had to pick it up lest it be lost in the woods. She managed to drop it in the swamp and after I retrieved it, my right foot plunged into the muck. It just missed going deep enough to fill my boot with swamp water. I had to sit down, pull my foot out and then wiggle my boot up out of the muck. Neither Rocket nor Luna stuck around to help.
