Rocket and Luna
Autumn 2005

Michigan Mud Puppies
Two labs, a few ducks and 2 humans living the good life in the cedar swamps of Michigan!
A Long Day

I told DH that he could open the gate today and let the pups run over to Yogi's house because I would be gone all day. I finally got home around 3 pm and drove right to Yogi's to drop off some groceries and pick up my pups. Only Luna was there. I dropped off the food, popped her into the back seat and headed home. The gate was wide open but Rocket was laying on his bed enjoying the sun and undoubtedly the "Luna-free" quiet.

He trotted through the gate and down the stairs as I drove up to the garage. He became a little whiney when he discovered Luna was in the car. Perhaps he thought she had gotten to go for a fun drive with me? After all, she'd been gone a couple of hours and I'd been gone for much longer. We could have snuck off together! She stayed in the car as I unloaded the groceries and I had to coax her out. I think she wanted to keep riding.

One good piece of news I got today; my left shoulder does not need surgery. The rotator cuff is not torn. I don't know what type of injury caused the initial pain a few weeks ago (I know how it happened, but not exactly why) but as it has gotten better I can only hope it will continue to improve. My doctor didn't seem too concerned. But it's hard to tell with those super-focused surgeons.

We've got a snow/ice storm heading on its way here. The National Weather Service forecast this one a week ago. And they never changed, it is apparently almost here. Six to 10 inche of snow possible, gusty winds and sleet. What fun! The pups will love it. I'm not looking forward to the shoveling.
